Historicon 2011 in Valley Forge, PA July 7 - 10

Post by Brigade Commander »

Anyone know if there will be a "Fulda Gap" MicroArmor battle being played there this year. I've been modelling U S Forces, circa 1985-1990 while hoping to eventually game this. I've been searching the HMGS website and can't find any mention but think that somewhere I saw there would be at least one Fulda Gap battle in MicroArmor. Not sure even what day it was supposed to be.

I keep trying to find someone / somewhere to game and hope this might b the place to find a venue and opponents. Worth a try anyway. I get jealous of all the other games being talked about! Can't leave all this armor "rusting" away unused!!

Check the "preliminary events list" (PEL) for HISTORICON 2011;

Brigade Commander.... what are you doing this Sunday, June 12? At 10am we are planning a modern micro armor battle. then in the afternoon, have another modern micro armor battle. There may be some Strykers and M-8 (MGS).

The game is in Jacksonville, FL. Think you might make it? You are welcome to bring your stuff or use ours. We have plenty. It will be 'great fun'.

-> chrisswim: I saw your game being discussed. Unfortunately, I am up in PA and that much travel isn't an option this weekend. Looks like it is going to be a great event!

-> Firefight: I went through it game-by-game but didn't see it in the revised listing. There was in previous years but I didn't see it this year. I'm just not sure if there is a "bring-and-battle" area that I haven't found a list for that might save the day. Seems like still a relevant period to game. Cie la vie. Or should that be "Cie la guerre"?
