How do you guys store your micro armor and infantry safely?

I use a variety of methods. For vehicles that are not based, I typically use Panzer Keepers. However, if they are large/ungainly models or have a lot of detail that would be crushed in a panzer keeper, I use GHQ's Bunker Boxes, which are excellent.

For aircraft and helicopters, I use cigar boxes with foam inserts.

For based figures (all of them, obviously) and vehicles, I use plastic boxes from The Container Store. I use the clear acrylic, which are more expensive but, well, clear...

I line them with magnetic sheeting from Home Depot (it is meant to cover HVAC registers, and is about $5 for 3 big sheets), and base my miniatures with steel Wargames Accessories bases. Here's an example of a finished product:

I line the bottom of my boxes (I use white 'document mailers' from Staples, approx. 11 3/4 x 15" x 2" deep) with 8" x 12" galvanized steel sheets (shingles?) from Lowes or Home Depot (about $1 each).

My stands are usually polystyrene sheet (or more galvanized steel if I want my vehicles to be able to be either based or unbased) on top of magnetic sheet (cut to size, obviously). These then stick to the steel sheet in the storage boxes.

Panzerkeepers

I second (or is it third?) the Panzerkeeper. I don't base my tanks and I move every 2 or 3 years, sometimes from one continent to another and they have never let me down. One added benefit is that I can store them in company sized units. I print custom labels of the unit and its contents so I know at a glance what is inside. Then I can group them in Battalion, Brigade, Division groups inside larger plastic storage bins.

I have micromagnets glued to my vehicles and store them in tin boxes.
