WW2 Micronauts - Battle of Denmark Strait - Battle Reports

Post by chasseur »

Hi,

I am trying out the WW2 Micronauts rules and like them very much so far. We have only tried two games so far, but they have given very interesting battles. Both games were the Battle of Denmark Strait scenario from the rules, which is a great inroductory one..

Now to try out the rule sabout torpedoes, planes and submarines.

Well written reports, and reasonable results. If you adjust fire on the PoW to match the historical problems they had with the 14" turrets, it makes the British force much less effective. Then it comes down to whether the weaker armour on the Hood is penetrated before its guns can score some damaging hits on the Bismarck.

One correction: a ship that is end on (having its 'T' crossed) is actually harder to hit, not easier. You can work this out on graph paper, including the danger space beyond the ship to determine the area in which a shell can fall and expect to hit. And at very close range, where you don't have to consider danger space, the width of the ship makes a much smaller target than the length.
