GHQ larger discount?
So I have or will have $750-1000 to spend on new lead. Anyone knew where I can get a discount better then 15-20% ?

We usually send out 1-2 special offers per year. We need to walk a fine line between not undercutting the stores that support our lines, and having an occasional sale for our mail order customers (yes, we know that many of you don't have a local store, but we have to have uniform policies). We sell at our listed MSRP all of the time, and have an occasional discount code that we send out to people who are on our mailing list. These discount codes only go to those who are on our lists, everyone who places an order during that period does not get a discount. This has kept us out of trouble with stores, and has worked for many years. We always send out all orders 100% filled (no backorders), and we send them out quickly, BUT we will never get into a price war with stores that support our lines because that wouldn't be fair to them.
Thank you,

Thank you, we are glad that our points are reasonable. We believe that is the way that discounts were handled last Christmas, and every other time that we have had a sale. Can you please let us know what is different? We try to make our policies consistent.ed*b wrote:All very reasonable points, and I'm sure it is a difficult balancing act. However, I do pine for the way discounts were handled at Christmas last year. It was a very agreeable approach.
Thanks,

Last Christmas, partway through the sale, you introduced a 20% discount level on purchases over $100. I believe if you check one of the old threads on this forum for the sale last year you will see your announcement of that additional discount level.
Perhaps you may want to limit this to the one sale a year at Christmas (sort of like our Boxing Day sales in Canada).

Reasonable sale prices
I believe that the code words and discounts involved therein are a most reasonable method of giving sales prices without undercutting retailers that carry GHQ products and yet leave us "loners" with good prices.
I do not have a retailer in my immediate (Memphis, TN) area but the GHQ folks have been more than reasonable in giving me the most for my money. They can tell you I have bought more than a few items from them. I have just gotten a shipment in and plan to order another today.
The latest GHQ armor (PzkwIII L, M and N), Jagpzr IV, JagdPanther are very much improved and I will keep ordering the older Wehrmacht equipment to go with my postwar (?) SS Wehrmacht 47 heavy punch TOE. I am going to keep getting the older equipment as it does not lack in firepower (see Jagdtiger, Tiger II, Tiger I, Jagdpanther, etc.). I have converted five of my Maus in to MAUS II (17cm guns) and plan to do the same with the E100. I might suggest that the MAUS model have alternative turrets with 128/55, 150/36 and other heavy guns for alternative use. The E-100 could be done with the same thing. I would not mind buying the extra turrets for say $5.00 per 2-3 units.
In any event, I can convert the turrets as they are but it is easier to get them from GHQ especially the extra 7.5cm/24 included with the 17cm, 18cm or 21cm bunkerbuster.

When did they start making anything in this scale?twopounder wrote:Not to be too much of a Capitalist here, but you can't complain much about $10 for 5 tanks. Not when 3 Games Workshop tanks of the same scale cost $20, and they never have a sale or reduce prices.
