June Releases (German trailers look awesome)

The June releases are posted, though most do not have photos posted yet.

Photo of the German Trailers is posted and they look spectacular.

I would like to see both a WWII and Modern USA/USMC set at some point

Are the small ones Field Kitchens or general storage trailers?

I think the smallest one (the rightmost) is the generator trailer.

From left to right, I think that they are the radio, general and generator trailers.

BTW I notice that GHQ are still using the old price - no doubt an error that will soon be rectified.

No field kitchens

The one trailer in ALL German motorised companies is not represented. I guess we'll have to use a general stores trailer and pretend it's 'camouflaged'...

They look fantastic, great job GHQ!!

Small one is generator trailer.

I plan to buy a few packs - good for command stands as well as my scratch built Luftwaffe stuff. Thoughts off the top of my head:
1. Add antenna to radio trailer (Ah 470 right?)
2. Add bags and/or camo netting to roof of radio trailer
3. Add open hatch doors to generator trailer

Oh and maybe a few will wind up in the Falaise Gap - convoy wagons turned hawker typhoon victims...

I could be wrong (maybe ghq can verify) but...

Cargo trailer looks like an Einheitsanhanger E3 3 ton
Generator trailer looks like an Sd.Ah.24

Just posting so if you are doing google searches for reference photos you will find something useful...

GHQ's Micronaut GWG22, CL Konigsberg is, as expected, the ship built in 1905. It's a good model and I intend to get one. I am a bit disappointed in GHQ's description; "Early version. Four ships in class: Konigsberg, Nurnberg, Stuttgart, and Stettin." GWG22 accurately represents only the first ship of the class. The other three are better represented by GHQ's GWG21, CL Stuttgart. The most visible difference: Konigsberg has the three funnels equally-spaced. The other three ships have the middle funnel closer to the first.

I also like N583, "M41 howitzer." I'm a bit surprised that GHQ did not provide the complete designation - it's not just a howitzer, it's a 155mm Howitzer Motor Carriage. Also, it has a nice nickname - Gorilla. 250 were ordered but only 60 delivered because of the end of the war. These should be useful for Korea and Wehrmacht '47 scenarios. Judging from the photo, all five will be in the firing alignment. I think it would have been better to provide 2&2 firing mode and transport mode (with the gun in the traveling lock, the firing platform vertical, and the recoil spade lifted.

I agree that the German trailers are nice, but should have included a field kitchen.

Those are good points on the Konigsberg and M41. The changes have been made to the listings. Sometimes the person who puts the listings up isn't a military historian. Generally most errors/omissions are pointed out quickly by astute customers, and we make the changes as soon as they are brought to our attention.

Agree with you piersyf, a field kitchen would be very great.
Maybe, later, GHQ will produce a new horse drawn pack with the famous field kitchen inside...

BTW, I love this new pack, it is really awesome !

Only need a mid-war Opel blitz truck to go with !

I don't have any WW2 Germans but I need an excuse to buy some of those trailers! maybe as an Objective marker or similar.

I sure would like to see the rest of the new June releases. The pictures that are posted are great. It would be nice to see the other's so that we can know what we are ordering.

I've said it before - I can't understand how the minis can be produced, packaged and ready to ship on release date, yet a few minutes can't be spared to snap a digital photo of the new minis?!

There are many miniature companies that do not post photos at all, or post them years after the release. I am sure one person is in charge of the web-site, including photos, and they probably have many other duties. GHQ has thousands of items and they have a proven track record of quality and accuracy, so I order them on faith. If for some reason the pack is not to my liking I will return it. I have ordered literally thousands of packs over the nearly 40 years I have been purchasing GHQ products and I have not returned a single pack. I say give em a break

BTW - I like seeing the photos as well

I think it's more important in some cases than others. While you get the very occasional 'Puma-gate', infantry pack information is key. For example, if you did not have the picture of Modern UK Individual Infantry Weapons GHQ Stock # N140, you might not realise that these aren't modern at all - in fact, most of the key weapons aren't even in service anymore. This should be '1990's British Infantry', especially as the accompanying infantry pack now has a serious deficiency of SAWs - very difficult to put together a credible Modern British force with the current packs!

I'd love to see an original release date with the descriptions to help guide us on what time period models are suitable for, rather than description 'modern' which becomes misleading quite quickly.
