Ladder is brass from a 1/400 scale ship add on kit. Posters are 1930 & 40's shrunk & printed. Tried to add FFI graffiti on the back wall.

A shop, a pub & some row houses.

Anyone got a good name for the pub?

Nice stuff CDP.

I've just got some Leven stuff myself, and am really impressed. Very well cast and nicely detailed.

Suggestions for pub names:
if in UK: King's Head; Grape & Grain; (if near a port) Crown & Anchor.
if in France: Cafe (proprietor's name); Le Maison Bleu...

Hope this helps,

B

One of Allens Gamecraft Buildings

Hi Allen

Hope you like the completed result. Fantastic building and i really like how you designed them with the multiple layers for depth on the windows & doors.

WIP.
This shows the different floors more clearly then the next pics. Base is from a railroad terrain manufacturer with 1 mm square grid. Matches the flooring I used out of evergreen plastic sheeting, also with a 1 mm grid.

How it was completed previously.

Was not really happy with the amount of rubble do after readying other guys "how too" comments on this forum I added more. You may be able to make out some 1/400 scale stairs in various places.

Added a side entrance to the basement.

Chris,

Model measures 6.25" x 2.75" x 2.85" tall (159mm x 70mm x 72mm). Yes, it's 1/285th. It's available on my site in the 6mm / Landmark Series section ... I'm not going to link to it from here but you can find it if you look for it.

The small regional airport of Rimby on the holiday Island of Goatland.

Just a few Air Balzac flights a day this time of year.

Old dispersal areas at each end sometimes used by the Military as a FOB (Forward operating base)

Mick,
Oh, you were able to fly in a plane or two finally....
It look so very nice, excellent work. Really like the FOB area and the grass covered aircraft bunkers. I am impressed.
.
I may need to send in a flight or two. What is the largest size plane is the runway and tarmac able to handle? Don't want to ruin or cause excessive wear and tear on your facilities. What is the runway made of? What about the tarmac in front of the terminal?

I started an airport a while ago and never finished it ... it's about time to get out those boards again and finish it. You've motivated me.

Chris,
Total size is only 4'x2', quite small by my old standards. 737 and C130's are about as big as I want on this one but a DC10 will fit at a push. Looks much nicer with smaller turbo props and regional jets IMO.
All runways, taxiways and ramp areas made from card (windows paint) stuck down with glue stick. Ground colour paint (water based) slapped on then grass material added while still wet.
Made from parts of the old South African DF airbase. Still modular enough that I should be able to use most of it for the coming Balzac International and new airbase for the expanding BSDF.
The international should be good for a 747 or so!

The Camastan airstrip (OP Fladgate)was only 4 1'x1' tiles I had quickly painted tan with a bit of old green/brown grass thrown on.

I really like the way that colouring come out.
May have to take more real estate there.

Allen, thanks for the comment, looking forward to seeing that, is it the Baghdad one?
Cheers.
