Modern British AA

Post by paul »

Good Morning,

Can any one tell me what the current AA system is for the British? Is it still the Rapier?

Regards,

Paul

I do not see the Rapier on the GHQ catalog. What are people using?

Heroics & Ros makes the Rapier (both static and tracked) while Scotia make the Starstreak SP

Just a quick additional point if I'm not too late.
The tracked Rapiers are all out of service (maybe 20 years ago).
Current rapier is Field Standard C (FSC) - the launchers with 8 missiles. Rumour has it they are all deployed to the Falklands.
Principal air defence for the British Army is the RAF... (Or, given the tendency to fight in coalition, the USAF...)
