Post by TAMMY »

A small poin on British fugures. When firing the Sten gun was not held by the magazine but in front of it. See the following for the proper hoeldig

I know this picture. My point was based on UK59 (the only British infantry I have) where the Sten is held by the magazine. Are there other packs with the Sten hold in this way?

Yeah, the shooter is the 'Man of the Century'. Behind him in military uniform is Sir AlanBrooke, Chief of the Imperial General Staff. He was General George Marshall's counterpart of the US Army.

The "correct" way to hold a weapon can vary from person to person, but to be "accurate" they should be modeled to how things were generally held, which sometimes is at variance with official training manuals.
On the specifics of the Sten I am ignorant, but would figure the Brits of all people probably generally held it in the "correct and proper" fashion.
