Funny, I find Soviets tedious in the extreme. Hardly any detail, no camo, basically just a spray job. No fun for me.

they dont take long to do a basic job on. But there is detailing to do, mud for instance and if you can manage it slogan decals.

And yours look pretty good.

Yes. I won't link to them since that's not allowed, but a quick search should lead you to some.

Those are some nice looking tanks by the way. You can still have a really good paint scheme even with a monochrome vehicle colour.

Crispy - I think the reasons you don't like them - "Hardly any detail, no camo, basically just a spray job." - are exactly why other people do.

This perception comes up time after time, the mods occasionally say something, but it really is something that I wish people would get into their heads; GHQ is quite lenient about citing other sources of material, just don't LINK to them.

CinC, Heroics and Ros, Bedlam creations....
see? world didn't end by me naming them. If I posted a LINK to them, the post would be edited.
Please be aware of the difference, because it's a shame that when GHQ allows us to help each other, people think they aren't allowed to.

1:285th scale Russian slogans are available. I can't remember the name of the firm but the decal sheet is somewhere in my hobby room. I'll reply again if I find it.

I know of 2 manufacturers of Russian slogans.

1. I-94. The do Russian slogans and some tank unit symbols plus tactical numbers in 2 sets. One set has the slogans. These are nice although a tad on the smallish side. I used some of these for some of the T-34s in the GHQ catalog.

2. Microscale Industries. They make a Russian decal sheet with mostly small red stars and some tactical numbers but it includes a small selection of slogans as well. The slogans are a tad on the largish side in this case. I used some on a couple of KV-1s I did for the catalog.
I also used one for the Russian Sherman as well.

YES Microscale Industries, that's who I was referring too. Pete's description is very good, they are a little big for the tank turrets, but cool.

Thanks Pete.
