The PM of Balzac.
Good Evening
Two days ago the Balzac Government started the process of removing a significant number of our citizens and other foreign nationals from the failed state of Camastan.
This has been a difficult few days.
There is at this time no functioning central Camastan government.
There is fighting and open civil conflict in large areas of the Country, some parts of the capital are no go war zones.
The Country now appears very fragmented and dangerous.
We have however been able to work with some moderate regional elements of the former despot.
"Operation Fladgate" has now begun.
Military operations are now underway in and around the former Camastan.
We will return our people and those of many other nations back home.
The next 24 hours will be the most challenging, an information blackout will be in place.
When it is safe to release news we will, until then please understand that everything that can be done, will be done.
Thank you.
PM's aid.
A special ADIZ (air defence indentification zone) is in effect 250km out from Goatland.
Camastan North of the Bow River is now a No fly zone for the next 36 hours.

The government of Putinville announces today a humanitarian airlift of bandaids, food supplies, AA missiles and trained advisors will be sent to Camastan to provide aid. In addition, a number of surface ships are being sent to deliver ground forces that will provide additional assistance. Putinville, offers Camastan military ground attack aircraft to assist in defense of their borders.

An open letter to the governments of Balzac, Camastan, and all their allies and supporters...
Please stop. For years now, we, the non-aligned nations of the world, have watched your ceaseless arguing and bickering. We have been forced to endure disruptions to our trade, violations of our airspace and territorial seas, and interruptions of our beloved Gilligan's Island and I Love Lucy reruns. This must end!
To secure our right and proper liberties and ensure an end to this feud we announce the creation of the Multinational Order of Non-aligned Government Organizations (MONGO). This coalition of the willing is dedicated to the proposition that together, as a united front, we will put a stop to this nonsense and allow the peace loving nations of this world to get back to their Mah-Jongg tournaments.
To the peace-loving peoples not connected to either faction in this conflict we look forward to welcoming you into The Order. To that end we issue a special invitation, join with us and we will eliminate all vestiges of these barbaric states. One World. One World Order. MONGO!

Putinville announces that they do not recognize the MONGO proposal and counter their proposal with a call for a complete disarmament of the MONGO military. We do not believe MONGO's intentions are peaceful and feel the only way to reduce the escalation in the region is the immediate drawdown by the Country of Swimmers and BSDF.

Paulson de La Putinville is putting forth a LOT of words, with nothing to back those words up with.... Mongo's Military will disarm Paulson de La Putinville armored group. Mongo still has the dividends from the time of Peace. Mongo was fighting the Cold War when you having the runs.
.
As for the swimmers, well the SEALs are fast in the ocean planting explosives/IEDs on the hulls of your ships/tanks.
.
New equipment is coming online, 50 ASLAVs & LAV25s another dozen LAV Command/Log, a Company of M1A2, 50 Marders, 24 Roland, 4 Linebackers, etc. I must be ready to defend our (swim team)selves from your aggressive War-Like approach where you PUT your putin foot on the backs of others. [sorry-tried at insulting humor]. Putin-evil, can you even start your engines of your AFVs? Much less, demonstrate any since or martial effectiveness!

If you do airlift in, make sure you have enough fuel to get out! Nothing left here of the old guard (maybe pockets in the center and South) This is a failed state that needs food not AA sam's.
We would welcome coordination of relief efforts which can only come from a united group such as the Camastan Freedom League.

The peace loving Nation of Balzac is but a bystander to the sad events that have taken place in Camastan over the last few years.av8rmongo wrote:An open letter to the governments of Balzac, Camastan, and all their allies and supporters. we announce the creation of the Multinational Order of Non-aligned Government Organizations (MONGO). In fact it is only due to our persistent efforts to foster trade that we have now found so many of our country folk in danger and peril overseas.
We are always open to dialog and only seek to make this region a better place for all.
However, the problems of Camastan can only be solved by the Camastan people themselves.
The World can help, maybe through the CFL (Camastan Freedom League).
I see the multinational order is due to vote on 18th Feb to form a sub committee to vote on a steering group to make recommendations to the member nations policy adversary board (subject to political approval by each Country by a free vote) to try and come up with a basic outline of a plan of what to do.
That is fine and we respect that.
We had 12 hours to react to a coming disaster and we did.

It has been reported that in many areas of Camastan last year for the final days of the old government no radio communication was possible.
The center and North of the Country was the worst with no cell phone and even fire, police secure systems receiving only background music.
Sales of ABBA downloads are up 17% this year.
The UIN this year has also noticed a very powerful carrier wave transmission twice a day.
This can be picked up all over the former Camastan.

"BTW...I meant to ask...where did you get those Visbys that showed up in the Blazac v. Camastan thread?
"
Kurt,
I've had a few people inquire about the Visby Corvettes, hence the public reply.
The Visby's are a 1/350 scale model from Orange Hobby (Japanese Co I think?).
They seem to do a lot of 1/700 but are expanding into 1/350 scale with some very interesting items.
If you have CAN$280 to blow they do a USS Harpers Ferry that looks incredible. I will be passing on that one but did go well over budget on the Visby's last year.
There seems to be two versions of the Visby kit. One with an Agusta 109 Helicopter and one without.
The kits without the heli are cheaper and seem to be on sale more often too. A 1/350 scale Agusta 109 was not going to work for me anyway(I have 1/300 ones that I won't use with armour).
All the kits I picked up came without the heli and where on sale. Ebay and a company called HobbyEasy had the best pricing.
A little on the small size but it works for me. Gave me a small Navy without breaking the bank too much but I did pick the sale items only.
Mick.

Now that the fighting end months ago and Camastan has a separatist organization and there maybe some peace in the Baltic region on a long term basis. the following report is filed:
The Wolf on CNNN reports that economic trade is increasing. It is reported that the MV Horton is in bound to BALZAC from the UK, I guess it (MV Horton) decided to Brexit. Then it will be loading agricultural machinery for the Commonwealth of Chrisdom. It is expected to make port in the Commonwealth in a few weeks after unloading surplus PDA (personal data assistants), 8-track tape players, and recently produced sun-dials made of paper.
Once these fine products are unloaded, the machinery will be loaded for the trip to the Med to the Commonwealth. The Minister of economic development, Prince Jacque Stock is delighted to send some farming equipment and some computers, 3D printers and laser design cutter for industry. Prince Stock did add that the laser have no military value at all except to remove paint from armored fighting vehicles. He did emphasize it had to be old paint The commonwealth did add that their may be a plane in the batch, which as you know is used for farming for pesticides. Also some track farming equipment are included.
The UN inspectors will be visiting the Commonwealth for a week prior to the expected arrival of the MV Horton, enjoying the scenery and take in some gambling to see if they get rich with the dice. Then plan to stay after the departure of the MV Horton on its return trip to BALZAC. The did say they did wish to see the show of the Swedish Bikini Team and socialize with those fine young people, certainly since they are out to improve the world and cure.... errrrrrrr... blemishes and acne. The UN is announcing its intent to nominate the Swedish Bikini Team for the Noble Peace prize, saying that they achievements are on par with the US President, Pres. 'O' and his Noble Prize.

Chris,
There can be no doubt that Balzac and the local region has been heavily effected by the economic down turn.
However with careful governance and a broad industrial base Balzac can weather the storm.
The poor exchange rate is helping with exports, while the less charged geopolitical tensions in the area brings a much needed boost to tourism.
A program of major infrastructure spending has been set in place to keep all the little people of Balzac employed. Despite the high costs there will be benefits in new roads, ports, airport terminals and housing.
The state of the secretive Camastan to the SW is being monitored. The internal strife seems to be limited to within their boarders and for now not having a detrimental effect on the general region.
The Camastan Freedom League that was in the North of the former Camastan seems to have lost it's way with no clear grouping or leadership.
Even less is know about the breakaway Camanaskis to the West?
Just in case Balzac is continuing to modernize it's armed Forces with exercises planed after the busy holiday season.

The Balzac based NGO Cordonniers Sans Frontieres is holding a food drive this week for the former Camastan.
All non perishable food goods can be dropped off at any CSF center, Fire halls, Bank of Goatland or BSDF recruitment centers.
It is hoped to collect enough food items to allow the CSF to continue it's relief efforts in the stricken Country. Special needs have been highlighted in the Western highlands and the central areas.
It is planned to move a large amount of food by sea before the end of the Autumn if safe warehousing can be secured. However due to ongoing overland travel dangers, some airlift requirement will be needed. The CSF is seeking a benefactor to help with airfreight.
The Balzac Government will match all cash donations until the end of August.

The transport company Ki-pon Trucking has once again stepped forward to assist the NGO Cobblers without Frontiers with it's ongoing relief efforts in the former Camastan.
The company lost most of it's operations last year with the fall of Camastan but was a major contributor in the evacuation of Balzac nationals from the country. It has since moved it's head office to Rimbey on the Island of Goatland and is doing well on the mainland of Balzac too.
" We still have some limited operations in what was Camastan, trucks, equipment, building etc" said Mr Smithers acting CEO of Ki-pon. "We started out in Camastan with one small van many years ago so we owe it to the people to try to help where we can".
"I'm sad to say it is a bit of a mess there right now, this coming Winter will be very hard unless we can get a lot of aid to a lot of people real soon".
"The Cobblers have asked us to assist and we will do what we can, of course some Government help could go a long long way".
"A safe port area like YerBouti would be a real bonus and make things easier .For our part, our transport expansion plans include moving into the air freight business. So if we can help there too I'm sure the company board would look favorably at that as well .

To Balzac Prime Minister.
To follow up with the Balzac War Department, we have been in communication of CV90 and Bv206 for Ratel & Rooikat AFV. We understand that the snow is really heavy this winter so far. So we expect the Bv206 will be helpful for those that keep warm drinking in Balzac.
Look forward to continuing our economic trade and agricultural trade.
