Show Us Your Games
Hi Tammy
That is actually the nature of my question. The name Belino actually sounds as if it is in Russia which had been pretty well cleared of Germans by 1945. My google search indicated the area I mentioned in my previous post.
I do know that in 1945 the Russians were into East Prussia, western Poland, Hungary etc and that the war had moved out of Russia.
Of course as a scenario designer, Mark can name it whatever he wants.

I've added a battle report between some Cold British and Soviets that we played at the Auckland Wargames club about a month back. I've changed the format of the report slightly and hopefully it is better to follow.

If anyone is in Auckland and wants to try out SS, contact me for a game.
Cheers

Yeah I really like them and SS feel like a natural replacement for the WRG moderns rules. I think they are what should have replaced the old set of WRG Modern (1950 - 85 version) rather than the 1993 version. The only part I don't like is most vehicle combat is very deadly and stuff dies automatically. There was some discussion on SS forum and we have adopted some of the ideas to avoid this situation.

Cool. I'll have to take a look and see what they said.6mmwargaming wrote:Yeah I really like them and SS feel like a natural replacement for the WRG moderns rules. I remember the first modern microarmor game I played; I had a combined arms battalion of M-1s and M-2s that were supported by three M-109s. The other side had a fairly large formation of T-62s, T-72s, and BMP-1s. In the end, it was a bloodbath due to me having favorable terrain, better tactics, and superior hardware. In most cases it was one shot one kill. IIRC, we used TacForce or one of the other modern rules that were out circa the first half of the 1980s.

The guys from Florida wanted a France 40 game with BEF units so I stole a ready made scenario from Rob and the VisLardica blog. It is a German attack on a British held village along the Dunkirk perimeter. The table is flat with a main road running the length of it. Fields with minor hedges are the main area that the Germans have to cross. Their is an end of the line RR station and large area of scrub in the British half of the table. 2 weak Brit platoons with a few supports had to hold off a strong German company with armor. The British players were going to eventually be overrun, they were buying time. I Ain't Been Shot Mum rules

Show Us Your Games
It is always nice to see the game photos here on the forum.
Kieran, your Sabre Squadron modern game looks very nice. I take it you like the rules overall?
Bishnak, that is a nice looking game as well. What did you use for your infantry that are in the pictures?
Mark, Another really fine visual display and looks like you guys had a great game.
You all should be commended for your fine efforts. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Show Us Your Games
I used the US Vietnam infantry. For modern day, they have that older kit look I was looking for in a western-armed 3rd world force. Plus, with sleeves rolled up etc, they are clearly operating in a hot area, which suits for Africa.pmskaar wrote:
