The link above will take you to an after action story I wrote. This play-test was taken from scenario 3 of Britton Publishers' upcoming title, The Last Offensive. The game was played in 6mm with GHQ miniatures, using the rules-set Micro Melee.

Thanks for sharing your AAR Ben. It looks like an interesting game.

How long did it take you to resolve it? It looks like a smaller game without the wall to wall tanks but with some tactical decisions to be made.

Pete... we played for about 4-hours. Some of that was taken up by the initial planning. With Micro Melee, each turn consists of about 4 to 5 phases. So, some units are acting quite a bit within the span of a game turn. The scenario was resolved after about 4-turns, which was almost 20-phases.

The Germans had 3x Panthers, 2x Panzer IV/70s, 5x Pz IVs and a platoon of infantry in half-tracks. The Soviets had 1x 76mm ATGs, 2x 57mm ATGs, 2x 45mm ATGs, 2x Maxims, 1x Simonov PTRS team and a squad of infantry. So, you're right, not a large game.
