Hello, I'd like to show you my work done so far.

Image
These are RN warships.

Image
Some of them(HMS Hood and Hunt class DEs). I rebuilted all masts and yardarms with 0.2mm~0.4mm brass rod.

Image
My recent work, HMS Ark Royal.

Image
Top view

Image
1/285 ww2 german vehicles.

Image
Tiger1 family.

Image
Another view. All numberings and crosses are decal.

Image
Back view of Strumtiger. I added 38cm shell with stretched sprue.

Image
Panther family.

Image
It was very fun to build this tiny bergepanther because it has extra crisp detail. I added pully, chain and hook of the crane. Two boxes on top are from PE part for 1/700 ship model.

Image
Tiger 2 family.

Image
Miscellaneous items.

Thank you for seeing my work.

Yoon..those are amazing. I would agree, please post more... Also, what is the base color used on the tiger with green stripes and on the bergepanther?

To BurtWolf - Thank you for your praise on my humble work. Those are everything of my work. I attached some additional pics below.

To Hoth_902 - Thank you again, I painted them with Tamiya enamel. For most German tanks, base color is XF60(dark yellow).

To Yoon: thanks for the response. Again, beautiful.

To the community at large: I have tried to do some research and have been unsuccessful. I have seen some German tanks shown to be painted exclusively Dark Yellow. However these are normally artist drawings and not real photo's. Not that there are many color photos of German tanks out there. With that said, I would like to know, if many German tanks fought in Exclusive Dark Yellow paint scheme. I have read that it was the color that came from the factory and that most units repainted or added other colors. Some book would indicated that they did fight that way. So did they and in what theater did they fight? Also, does anyone have a good link as a reference? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

To Yooon:

Wow!

Amazingly painted and detailed models. I love all that you've shown but I especially like that winter Tiger 1.

That is probably one of the best painted models I've ever seen.

Are you a professional model painter because if you're not you should be.

Outstanding!

Please can we have some more?

Cheers for posting, B

Yooon - An impressive portfolio of work here. Very nice overall. I especially liked your Tiger in the ambush scheme and the Hetzer. The Sturmtiger and Bergepanther are very good pieces as well. Thanks for showing your stuff. Looking forward to more in future.

As usual, not that simple. It will depend on the vehicle you are painting. Germany moved to dark yellow to replace panzer grey, but at later stages camo was factory applied. Any vehicle made during that period would not have left the factory is plain dark yellow. Further, at a later date again, base colour shifted to olive green due to shortages of the dark yellow pigments. Jagdpanthers seem to fall in this group, so mine are base olive green with dark yellow stripes (it's about ratios, and wheel colours). Ambush schemes were factory applied.

As to whether vehicles fought in just yellow, yes they did but again it depended on circumstance. Does the crew have time and resources to paint the vehicle? Do they see a need (Russia in Summer or winter, maybe not... btw, painting a tank in the Russian winter would be a challenge and a half). I can only offer one example, and that's off the top of my head; a Jagdtiger unit with I think 5 vehicles was pretty well documented, and I seem to recall mention that one of the 5 was still in overall dark yellow when it was captured.
There is no right or wrong, only decisions and consequences.

Yoon, welcome and what a post. Simply amazing work.
The Ark is my favorite, I only wish I could do a Stringbag (Swordfish) that nice in 1/285.
Well done sir.

Cama. "Mick-Your ship looks massive, nice!
To be honest of the many, many half completed projects on the go this is one of the smaller.
The Visby Class is about 8" long. The AS565 Panther Heli (GHQ WZ9) is quite compact, about the size of an UH-1 .

Image

Just for a size comparison I put a GHQ Panther (WZ9) on each ship and in front of a few aircraft.

The armour backlog is getting embarrassing too.

Really crappy photos of my modern russian infantry
(photo with cellphone, should start using my camera)

I tried khaki and camouflage green for the gear (the base is US aircraft green)
The photos i`ve seen the gear tends to be a bit darker then the uniform. Can`t say i`m really happy with any of the 2, will try some blending

Killroy, Great looking ACW troops, nice painting and basing.

Mick, Great to see the Great Balzac Navy again. On the Visby, did you use any of the brass? I did not see the brass rails on the deck. Enjoy seeing your aircraft again.

Killroy, excellent work and the ground looks great.

Mech, menacing! Please stay away from my Imagi- nation.

Chris, PE brass, ah my nemesis. That Visby has (almost)all the brass on it. Go one page back and see the photo with the AS565. The helipad railing is insanely fine and as for the window wipers they are still suck to my fingers. My other Visby's will be clean n stealthy I think.
