GHQ terrain maker

I'm toying with the idea of making an urban setup via using TM. Allen Rockwell did a great one for his desert version. I'm more interested in a western European town/small city layout.

Has anyone done this yet? If so please share pics or ideas

Yes I have used them. Im in the process of building Juno beach in terrain maker, for a local con in October, and of course running the scenario at other events in the future. I plan to do all the beaches in terrain maker in the next few years. I will get some pics on here soon.

I just walked Juno to Falaise (yes, walked; 90km) so if you want some pics let me know. I took over 500 (although some are in Paris for the end of the trip).

I also have war diaries of the Fort Garry Horse with map references that you can use for Google live views.

That is an awesome accomplishment - you must be very proud. Also I imagine a great way to contemplate and think about the world but more importantly what those young men did 72 years ago.

I have driven it - and love going back there. It is a special place.

I would love to see some pics of these as you do them. I have collected a lot of the Leva bunkers etc and am regularly thinking and planning but have not yet bitten the bullet.

Not using TM but 1/2 "foam boards 12"x12" for my airport areas and now working on a few boards that could be used for a port area or a river crossing.
Not 100% sure how I will do it but hope to fix some of my river crossing boards with land removerable on one side so I can use as a coastline too.

For me the 1'x1' size seems an easy way to do a larger urban area.
I'll try to make it as modular as possible but still need some major 6mm buildings to be purchased.

Cama, kudos on the trip. Sometimes you just have to go walkabout.

Wow cama, that's an impressive walk.

It must have been quite an experience.

I've been to Cintheaux and the cemetery there and that was quite something.

Hope you can post some photos here and maybe write about your experience? It'd be great to share.
