Townhouse

Post by jaxenro »

The various townhouse kits are they metal? Separate wall and roofs? All 4 walls joined?

Any pics of a unbuilt kit?

As I recall each kit is just 2 or 3 parts, all solid. Very easy to assemble.

Thanks

I was kind of hoping on more parts so I could mix and match the walls between kits. I guess I can cut them up

Don't waste your time. The metal is pretty thick, so from each building you'd get one wall but have to ruin two others. That's a lot of elbow grease for one or two bits.

If you are looking to get create a lot of variety from a few starter bits, consider paper. WargameVault and the like have inexpensive kits. Many actually include several "layers" so you can print the buildings with different looks. For example, a tile roof might be printable in orange, light gray and dark gray. You can have accessible interiors, and it is easy to resize and crop bits to mash up new buildings. I do it all the time.

You could try gamecraft miniatures. The owner makes a variety of stuff that GHQ does not. Also, he makes some buildings with Matt board and all the walls come separate. Also, as I found, if you have a good idea for a product.. he might even make it. I suggested motorpool buildings to use in displaying vehicles when not being used
...he made one and it's awesome. I still need to buy it
Quantity has a Quality all its own.
