Hi all.
I have begun working on some helicopters and aircraft. I am running into trouble getting the aircraft mounted on flight stands. I tried drilling a hole in the bottom of one and I made it a little too big and the thing wont stay level. Any ideas or help is welcome. Idiot proof detailed instructions GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thanks
Dom341.

One option is magnets. Check out my blog (in the signature line below) and look through the old posts. Actually, I guess they're all old posts since I haven't had the time to post anything in quite a few months.
I'll try to go back myself and link to the relevant post when I have more time. Hope it helps.

I use the GHQ aircraft stands but solder the magnets on the end of the wires because I couldn't get CA glue to hold well enough. Similar to mongo I glue the magnets on the belly of the aircraft.
I also use acrylic flight bases from Lithko in a similar fashion although the glue works fine on the acrylic so no solder required.

I went with drilling a small hole around where the center of gravity is and placing a 2mm BB in it to be flush with the surface. Use the magnet on the base to hold it up. Also good for storage using a magnetic base as they stick right to it.
