A painting done in 1917 by a German artist shows a destroyer with overall dark grey and reddish tan deck (corticine).

For what it's worth, I have the 1972 "Profile Publications" booklet on B-110 by F. Ruge .
The color centerfold refers to the "black color scheme" for WW1- DD's.
Vertical surfaces are shown a true black, but the deck (smooth-metal or linoleum?)is a dark grey with a slight blueish tint.
Whether this is correct or an artists convention to better show deck detail...?

The upper decks were probably corticene/linoleum on most. Some did have corticene on the weather deck but, I believe that was often painted over.
