GHQ paints

Post by Sepp »

Thinking of getting back in to GHQ. Is there any comments on the GHQ paints, as I have not found any comments on their use ?

I like them. The coverage is good, colour is close enough to the stated colour. If scale effect is important to you it might be advisable to lighten the paint. They are relatively thick allowing for thinning.

A painting guide - what, like this?

I'm guessing he meant with a guide to which colors to use like Battlefront does....

]Many thanks" Extra Crispy". That is exactly what I meant. For a company that has its own line of paints I would have thought it would have far more information about the use and different ways to finish off the models. The pages in their catalog have been around a long time and the articles on face book help but not fully. As of now I am still using the Flames of war tutorials.

I use FoW as a guide to which colors for what item, but lightened for 6mm. Great guides for those of us who want nicely painted models but don't want to have to do research just to finish off a platoon.

I think part of the issue is GHQs paints are really complete enough to do that - you have to do a lot of mixing and so on your own....
