All flights are being diverted.









Incoming mortar fire reported by U.I.N staff near to their camp on the airport.

In the early hours of the morning the Yer Bouti National Guard mount a major assault on rebels who had taken over part of the Government compound.











The fog of war is thick tonight.

The area in the Med with the boats were pursuing the cargo vessel. A larger search area was created and no other threats besides the 2 larger yachts and 3 smaller boats. Harrier fly-by a few times, 550-575 knots 30 feet above sea level to get the attention of the pirates. The Kabab pirates continued in direction of the freighter. The Tiger helos closed distance to the Kababs boats..... A SAM missile was fired, Tigers flew to the deck, flares being released. 2 more SAM from different boats were fired. One Tiger was hit. NH-90 went into action in SAR mode. The Harriers, took two strafing runs with 70mm hydra rockets and m.g. fire. hitting 3 vessels, one of which was a yacht, believed to have been hijacked. The yacht that was hit received m.g. fire. The whereabouts of the owners is unknown. Video recording of the boats will be ** CENSORED ** (evaluated) back upon the Illustrious.

The Tigers fired several laser targeted Euro Spike ATGM missiles at what was identified as the smaller boats. Hits on all three are reported to have occured. The remaining two large yachts turned south toward the African coast. One did stop dead in the water about 10 NM from the engagement area. There was not any further fire from either yacht nor where they fired upon.

One Tiger crew has died, the weapons officer was KIA, the pilot is wounded having been rescued. En-route to the Illustrious, ETA 15 minutes.

Search, rescue and recovery operation is taking place now of the 3 destroyed boats. (too bad there are not any coolers floating on the surface full of 'Angus Prime Beef' i.e. Goat meat....

Al-kabab have claimed responsibility for the attacks in Yer Bouti City and the Northern parts of the Country on Saturday.
They say they control the town of Tat Twin in the North which they are now calling Don-er-Kabab.

Sheik Yer Bouti has appeared in public (under heavy protection) in downtown Yer Bouti City. He said the attacks will not go unpunished and has vowed to crush the criminals and thugs behind it.
Road blocks have been set up in and around the city but sporadic gunfire has been taking place during the day. This was the first attack to hit the city since the trouble started in the tribal lands.
The airport is now open after no less than 17 mortar rounds hit over the weekend.
The YBNG is being aided by the Balzac training team in securing the airport and the surrounding areas.
This was an attack on several sites in the city at the same time. The Government compound has been badly damaged, the main tv station destroyed. Many of the attackers are still at large since the YBNG and police was said to have been spread far too thin to cope with the multiple incidents.
The bulk of the active YBNG (tanks and APC's) are still tied up in the tribal lands.
No mention was made as to the situation on the ground in the North!

The Balzac Government has offered assistance and the Sheik has accepted.

The situation in the North has become dire. The YBNG has suffered a number of major set backs in the Tat Twin area. The boarder crossing to the North was attacked and taken by Al-Kabab.
YBNG have lost several outposts and they are have pulled out of the town of Tat twin. Some NG troop/units seems to have swapped sides and there is now no cohesive front line.

The UIN aid program based in the village of Arrod awoke Wednesday morning to find the local gendarme post deserted and reports of Al-Kabab advancing.
With the prospect of been cut off from the rest of the Country and YBNG at full stretch, a request was made to the Balzac Fores in Yer Bouti City.



The bulk of the Balzac training teams armoured 6x6's head East out of the capital to make a thunder run to the UIN in Arrod.


The main roads are avoided.


All hands on deck is required since very few Balzac troops are in Yer Bouti, a small airfield guard is left behind, all SF and trainers hit the road.

Several hours later the BSDF team makes it to the UIN aid program center in Arrod.





A hasty perimeter is set up around the village while the UIN load up what they can.





The village could be held but the main route back to the safer South is likely to be cut off soon.
The decision is made to escourt back the UIN staff, a BS news crew and anyone else that wishes to leave.

There follows a mad dash South by what passes as the main road in the area.



Leapfrog over watch as they approach a couple of narrow passes.





Pewter Pass is made before darkness falls.
Then back to the International airport. A good day out and the UIN peeps are well pleased.

Balzac has deployed additional armour to Yer Bouti in light of the increased threat level there.
The BSDF training team is now actively assisting the YB National Guard in the countryside around the capital city.

General Fatusa, who lead the uprising in the Commonwealth's Moroccodom and Tunisadom, has reappeared again. He is recruiting other members for Al-Kabab and providing leadership. It appears that he planned the raid into southern Moroccodom and Algeria which killed and wounded over 20 people. Robero Smarsh the Asst Director of exploration for Commonwealth Energy was killed in an attack by over a dozen terrorist gunman. Fatusa's henchmen also took information and equipment from the energy discovery trucks. Also reported several people were taken as hostages or just kidnapped, they were all young women, some teenagers.

Takes watered down paint real easy. Colour is a Vallejo sand (so old the # is worn off). just trying a few different wash (army painter ink tones).

dragon6, Thanks for the comment on the buildings, sorry to say they are all beyond my design abilities.
There are hundreds of model card buildings out on the web for free. Many can be resized to aprox 1/300 scale. Some great ones right here on GHQ under the free stuff.
Not as nice as some of the solid moulded (metal/resin) ones you can buy but the price is right!

Al Kabab certainly has taken control of Yer Bouti with Shiek Yer Bouti IV ruling the country, into the ground. Goat burgers sales are flat, per capital sales are down as customers realize how they have been scammed by Al Kabab.

This peaceful time reminds the world of the 'Phony War' of WW2. Major acquisitions of military equipment, offensive in nature. It was found out that YB now has Scud-B, SS-21, and SS-20 ICBM. These weapons in the hands of an unstable leader is a concern for all sovereign nations and citizens.

Al Kabab conducted bombings in Tunis, Tunisia. TNN (Tunisia News Network) reports over 60 dead on the scene with two different bombs detonated. Two bombers were carrying the bombs on a suicide vest. Further investigation continues.

Al Kabab conducted several attacks with car bombs. CNNN, the Wolf reporting, that two bombs went off in Tunis, Tunisadom, killing many, over 60 were sent to seek medical treatment. In Algeria, a bomb went off in Algiers wounding dozens, killing less than a dozen. It is believed that 3 members of Parliament were the targets of the bomb, as two died in a car that was adjacent the car bomb explosion. Announcements from Al Kabab were released claiming credit for the bombs. The two members of Parliament were in favor of Algeria joining the Commonwealth. Another bomb went off in Mauritania many civilians wounded. All the bombers died in the attacks, investigations have begun to apprehend those responsible.

The Good Will has been busy performing surgery on many civilians from the conflict east of India. It has been rumored that medical students have been on board conducting surgery and providing medical attention. It has been rumored that any human body parts have been discarded properly vs. dropping into the sea to feed sharks. Although Shark Fishing has become popular on the boat.

General Fatusa apparently has received a large bonus, incredible sum of money brokering the deal for the military arms and ammunition from Putinville, and other places hither unknown. In the range of 20,000,000 to 25,000,000 Euros. A source at the The Helvetia National Swiss Bank received over 10,000,000 Euros into an existing account. General Fatusa is reported to be enjoying Egypt, visiting the Pyramids.
