US Army M113A3

Post by recon110 »

When can we expect to see an M113A3 with no side armor add-on. Been too long. The current one in the catalog was never fielded as a normal configuration.

GHQ does not announce future releases more than a year in advance. The next list of releases should be coming out in late May.
Until then, I recommend you express your interest for an updated M113A3 in the thread, "2018-2019 Wish List for Modern, '47, and WWII."

Thanks. I decided that its best not to respond to your message. Except there is a reason why wargaming groups on facebook have grown.

Seems to me Mr. Rachel's response to your question was ra reasonable suggestion. I can't see any reason why it would offend you. As for Facebook, it seems like the most recent data breach is a very good reason to stay away from FB. But it is a free country, still, I think.

Just a suggestion but if you look in their UK & Commonwealth section in the catalog you'll see a vehicle listed as the M113AS4. If you leave the turret off this vehicle you get the M113A3 without the side armor.

Not the same - the AS4 has an extra road wheel on each side

The M113AS4 does have 6 road wheels, A few other countries use M113 variants with 6 road wheels.

OK, there's a model in the new releases called the SIDAM, an Italian AA gun mounted on an M113A3 hull. If you fill in where the gun mount goes you've got a 5 wheeled M113A3.
