Raffraff's work
Raffraff,
Great stuff. I've got some JagdTigers to work on myself. I see you're using the Leva/Wargamers Factory Ruin. I've primed mine, but have not started painting it yet. Did you have a major warp in the resin base? I tried to use hot water to flatten mine out...but it didn't hold. What grass product are you using in the ruins there? It has a nice scale effect.
Anyway, awesome pieces.
Kevin.

You know, I never really liked JagdTigers.
But if I gotta shoot at some, they might as well look GOOD.
Well, since we're talking about 'em and all ...
C.G. Erickson has been having some problems with his PC, and has only had sporatic access to the forum for a bit. But he seems to have no trouble at all buying and painting up some beautiful GHQ micros, so he asked me to post up some of his most current work.

He seems to have really gotten the knack of scratch-building gun and vehicle emplacements! All of the infantry I've seen that he's done has looked really good ... I also like the crew figures he is putting into all of his open-topped vehicles these days.
I think I prefer the view from behind. That's how I hope to approach them when I find them on a battleboard...

Some things........or maybe not.......

The may be some pictures here. Or I might still be a computer buffoon. These are my first two minis in about 10 years and first GHQ. I wish I'd thought about not fitting the turrets first before I started! I am not a gamer, more of a modeller in the dioramas sense of the word. This one will obviously be North Africa, but I am feeling a bit of green coming on, so Europe beckons. I'll post some more when it's done.
These are also my first pictures with my new camera which arrived a few hours ago. Does anybody have any tips on taking photos of such small subjects? I seem to have a bit of an over exposure problem

Top work from every body. This thread has been a real inspiration. Thank you.

Bump

Ack! This topic was about to fall off the list. Heaven forbid! We'd lose all those reference photos!

I seem to recall someone associated with Soviet armored divisions once saying "Quantity has a quality of its own."Fulcrum wrote:I'm posting a picture ... that shows a part of my Russian tank division... It is in B/W because the core units are in so many differnt finishes....Plus I'm not the best painter

Rick,
Why do I feel like I'm standing on the reviewing stand at the Kremlin, watching the May Day parade march by!?
Thanks for posting your picture!
