Great list - there are more things on here that I have been asking for than any past year I can remember so I'm very happy. I prefer more detailed games with logistics etc so the list works well for me.
Interesting that there is no infantry on the list.
Now we have a whole year to start speculating on the next list! Let the games begin!

Not a bad list! A few things on here rock my boat very nicely like the Sabra, the LARS (I hope it's the LARS 1, we already have another company making the LARS 2, but I understand since LARS 2 is in Team Yankee if you do the LARS 2)
My sole quibble with the list is the distinct lack of Cold War British infantry... missing a seriously good seller there GHQ... there are many, many people (like myself
) who are itching for a Carl Gustav recoilless rifle team!
It's going to be my version of the calls for the BV-206 for the last three years
I need a gutsache... a charlie gutsache!

Personal Opinion of 2018-2019 Micronaut Releases
Once again, GHQ’s schedule for 1/2400 Micronauts offers a pretty good selection. It’s great to see another dozen ship models. Unlike last year’s list, it’s a pretty good list for me. Four of the dozen types are from my personal wish list and three others will be on my shopping list as soon as they are released. With respect to the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List, two of the twelve ships were in the top 3 vote-getters and five more were in the top 100.
Here are some personal comments on the individual 2018-2019 Micronauts, beginning with what I consider best for me:
USN (95 or 96) WWII USA battleship Idaho (BB 42), late-war appearance. This battleship, with its single enclosed 5â€/38 secondary mounts, had a unique appearance. It was on my favorites list and had 44 votes (alone in 3rd place) on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List. I will certainly get one to model the original and probably three more for a uniform squadron in my hypothetical fleet.
FRN13 WWII France heavy cruiser Duquesne, pre-1940 appearance. This two-ship class has not had a previous high-quality metal model in 1/2400 scale. This class was on my personal favorites list and had 49 votes (alone in 1st place) on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List. I will be ordering two as soon as they are released.
IJN59 WWII Japan commercial oil tanker Kawasaki type. For those who consider logistic support to be an essential part of warfare, here is a vital contribution to the Japanese effort. For the rest of you, TARGETS! This group of ships was on my personal favorites list and had 18 votes (tied for 73rd place) on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List. I will probably order 18 of these, but not all at once.
USN (96 or 95) WWII USA merchant oiler T2-SE-A1. The same comments as for Kawasaki type but 481 built during the war years. This group of ships was on my personal favorites list and had 22 votes (tied for 50th place) on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List. I’ll never live long enough to get all of them, but will probably order several every other month.
GWT (03 or 04) WWI Italy destroyer Soldato class. It’s not surprising that GHQ continued with the recently-introduced GWT series, but I was surprised with the specific classes selected for production. I had expected the larger Indomito or Pilo-class destroyers to appear first. One good thing is that they make a better match with GHQ’s GWH4, Huszár-class destroyers of Austria-Hungary. This class had only four votes (tied for 799th place) on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List. I’ll probably get a total of nine hulls, ignoring the almost-identical Ascaro, built for China but retained by Italy at the start of the war.
GWT (04 or 03) WWI Italy armored cruiser Pisa. Yes, I know that GHQ has this listed as a CL, but its 10,000-ton displacement and 10-inch guns definitely make it an armored cruiser. Light cruisers of the era seldom exceeded 5,000 tons in displacement and never carried larger than 6-inch guns. This is another unanticipated class but worth getting. Like the Soldato, it had four votes on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List. I will probably get three, including one to represent the Greek Georgios Averoff (which was very similar but not identical in appearance.)
GWB37 WWI UK scout cruiser Active-class. One of these ships was the first combat loss by the British in the Great War and the other two participated peripherally in the Battle of Jutland. In addition, with a little reshaping of the bow, these ships can represent the Boadicea and Blonde-classes. This class had 26 votes on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List, tied for 35th place. I will probably get seven ships and file back the bows on four of them.
UKN92 WWII UK aircraft carrier Argus - I concentrate on surface warfare so I probably won’t be purchasing any aircraft carriers in the near future. This ancient little ship had an amazing record in WWII. Despite its known obsolescence, the British were forced to use it a number of times for delivering aircraft to Malta in combat situations. In this case, I won’t object to providing more Stringbags for it deck park, but I would really like to see it with a dozen Hurricanes, as it carried on one of the Malta operations. This ship had 15 votes on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List, tied for 107th place.
I’m not buying modern warships at this time so I won’t be getting any of the following. However, I hope GHQ does well with these.
HRC (9 or 10) post-Cold War China LPD Type 071 (Kunlun Shan or Yuzhao-class). This is a significant contribution to the modern Chinese amphibious forces. This class had 19 votes on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List, tied for 64th place.
HRC (10 or 9) post-Cold War China destroyer Type 052C (Luyang II or Lanzhou-class). This class had 17 votes on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List, tied for 83rd place.
HJN7 post-Cold War Japan destroyer Akizuki (DD-115)-class. This class had 12 votes on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List, tied for 148th place.
HRN8 post-Cold War UK LPD Albion class. There has been a recent surge in modern amphibious types. I wonder if this will continue with the French Mistrial class and those of other nations. The Albions had 8 votes on the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List, tied for308th place.

As I always do I took a few more looks through the list, and noticed a few things. First I didn't immediately realize that the M3 with the twin 20mm AA is an Israeli piece, and that the M113 Fitter is also. I had totally overlooked those as being Israeli when I looked last night. I love to see the expansion of the Israeli forces. They always come up with great ways to re-purpose older equipment, and I enjoy researching them.
I also looked into the Bv206 a little. I have known about it for years and always thought of it as kind of an odd looking Swedish vehicle that was used by a few other countries(which I still do think
) . After looking at it more closely I see that it is used by about 25 countries, many of which field large forces, and are likely to be involved in conflicts. Interestingly Israel is listed as one that fields the Bv206.
This list has taken me a little more time for me to explore than some in past years, but the more that I look into it, the more that I like it, and can see why these items were chosen. I think that this list is more likely to appeal to those who really know the ins and outs of military equipment and TO and E's, but I also think that there is a lot there for a lot of people. Each time I look through it, and look further into each of the vehicles, I gain more of an appreciation for the thought that went into it. I also gain an appreciation for the process that goes into putting the list together. Over the years I have sent in a few suggestions, and always gotten a similar "thank you for your suggestion we will consider it when we put the list together" reply. This list has helped me believe that they really do look at the suggestions because I can't imagine that some of these things were suggested the most.
Once again, thanks for a really good, interesting list!

I completely agree. I find myself liking the overall choices more after looking up many of the items.CBoy3 wrote:This list has taken me a little more time for me to explore than some in past years, but the more that I look into it, the more that I like it, and can see why these items were chosen. I have known about the Pokpung ho for a few years, and didn't really look into it. Someone else wondered which variant that it would be, and now I am wondering too. From early to late the turrets look very different, and the presence of an external tank on the back of the hull give them pretty different looks. Maybe one early and one late? However this goes, I think that building up the North Korean items is a good call.

This IS a great list. But I have to support the folks decrying the lack of modern Brit infantry, even though I don't need any. The Brits have been very active overseas and deserve the update.I DO need Sultan command and control vehicles, though, and do not understand how that vehicle has been overlooked, with all that has been done for British forces. The Sultan has both a command and a medical role.
My biggest disappointment, this year and last, has been the M577 track extension. Sorry, GHQ, but you just blew that one. Please consider making the 60s-80s style extension as a stand-alone model so we can add them to the M577s we already have or to new ones, as well as connect them, as was done in real life to make command and control palaces.
The combat support vehicles are really welcome - recovery and bridging vehicles, both this year and last, although I only require a small number of each. It is time, as well, for an upgraded M88 to be put on the list.
All that said, as soon as I am able, I am focusing on H series M60A1 tank battalions and M113A1 mech battalions. I will TRY to help out my Brit and German battalions when I can.

This seems like a pretty good list.
Loads of interesting stuff on there, notably the Jackal and BV206 (would have preferred a bvs10 or BV206S but we can't have everything). BV20s is more widely used but less useful in our wargaming (unarmoured vehciles don't last long in our games).
Also pleased to see the panther, mastiff with birdcage, M984 HEMTT, T-90 MS Tagil, GAZ66, MAN KAT-1 Recovery, and M113 Fitter.
SA11 obviously a good addition.
Theres other good stuff too.
Other than the afrormentioned lack of BVS10 and BV206S, I am slightly disappointed there's no armoured or unarmoured D6/D7 etc bulldozer.
We will defnitely be building a jackal-based light strike force.
