Agreed.
6 or 8 would be more reasonable .
But 3? Four dollars each? That is just crazy.
For that, they can keep them...

I think the price is fair.
Sorry Cama, but I must respectfully disagree.
(do you have these in hand? I suppose they might be close to "Z" scale...)
If they're really that big, my "6 to 8" may be wrong; but surely 5 isn't unreasonable...
Are they large compared to a pack of 5 Tiger 2's? Or JS-2's? Etc...
Infantry? At about 60 per; the metal in the sprues alone...
Or maybe a pack of PAK-40's etc.- 2 tractors, 4 guns, and a couple crews.
These appear to be one-piece castings, so not complicated either...
I'm afraid "fairly large" doesn't really explain it for me.
I'd seek another explanation myself; fortunately I don't really need them.

In any case, it's your money; it must hurt even more in Canada.

As you say, to each his own.
Enjoy them. And let us know how big they are.
Seriously. Some of the "infantry" types have been really oversized...
I just collect these days; I haven't gamed in a long time.
Back in "the day", I did a kit-bash that served. Model ship parts company...
It's not the "bucks" either. I'm a model railroader, for Gods sake..

I'll be 64 next month. I've been buying GHQ since I was 15.
They are, and have always been my favorite military-model company.
But I don't always agree with them.

I meant no offense on the currency issue; there's a debate going about it?
I just remembered the last time (many years now) I was in a Canadian shop.
The price was near double the US...

In my opinion Flossacke 34 is not so big, it's a medium rubber boat (lenght 18ft, width 6ft 1in) capacity 7 mens or 1.35 tons...

it's my favorite item of the new list, i hope there is a mistake, and for example empty boat will be provide...

My dream/perfect blister :

-2 Flossacke with crew
-2 empty Flossacke (make quick bridge or rafts...)
-1 sturmboot 39 empty
-1 sturmboot 39 with crew

Here is my unsolicited input to the cost of GHQ products.

I think attaching a cost per unit, in each pack, makes a lot of products over or under priced.

Weight Comparison.
A good example is the M113s and the Humvees. There prices could be considered way off when compared to other vehicles. A pack of 5 M1025 and a pack of 6 M113A1s are $11.95. IF you compare the weight of those vehicles to say a pack of AS-90 Bravehearts, I think you need more Humvees and M113s in each pack to make it equal based on weight per pack.

Sculpture Detail
If you compare the detail of some vehicles and the precision needed to make the initial mold, those cost could be high because of time, tools and skill required. There is disputing that the detail and quality of GHQs pieces are improving. Again, looking at the M113s and say a Stryker. The Stryker has way more detail than the M113. The Stryker takes way more time and skill to do than the M113. Price is still the same.

Demand
I have heard people try to figure out why companies charge higher prices for some miniatures that have the same number of pieces and the same quality of sculpture. It was theorized that they charged more for the sculptures that you may not buy a lot of them to build an army vs the ones that you would buy a large quanity. This could be said for the Titan and the CRAAV. Both these vehicles come with reduced count of individual vehicles. Titan has 1 and the CRAAV has only two. If you look at weight, you might find that its less than a back of 5 AS-90 Bravehearts ( I have not weight them to find out). GHQ may charge more for them because they know less will be purchased and that could drive up the cost per unit because they will not produce enough to drive down cost. Also, the CRAAVs have a lot of detail.

I would wager that if you broke down all the different variables in producing these mini pieces of art, it would be hard as an outsider to begin to judge why a price vs quantity is what it is.
Quantity has a Quality all its own.

I fully agree; that would be a good pack.
My own favorite this year is the Mercedes, but I really like old trucks...
I'll also buy a pack or 2 of the Panzer 1A.
What concerns me more than potentially overpriced rubber rafts is the small number of WW2 "land" models to be released this year.
I think I counted only seven... :(

Kampfgruppe - great idea.

perhaps it will be more economical to buy these Flossacke as single pieces if the price per piece is same as advertised?? Not trying to end run GHQ but there’s gotta be some bang for the buck if they are small or kind of small.

Don't forget the "hull" price in the faq is specifically for items that are 5 per pack.
I'd get a quote first; been there...( any word on the ammo trailers, btw?)
As for size, the "footprint" should be a bit smaller than an M4 sherman, if it's true to scale; using the numbers given above...

I haven’t heard back... I hope it is because they are busy. I will have to send another email to tickle them.

Got a response from GHQ, those ammo trailers with the new Flakpanzer I pack sell separately for 1.50 each. Seems like a good deal, gonna have to grab a dozen or so.
