The surviving Tu bombers returning to Syria were surprised by the SAM launches just prior to landing. In the Country of Tripoli, which is a member of the Commonwealth, fired Patriots on the bombers shooting down 3. "Only 1 landed successfully", according to Col Sergi, the CO of the air force section. "This was a rough mission, we did not expect that the Country of Tripoli would engage and participate in the conflict, even though members of the Commonwealth." When asked if he would respond to attack Tripoli... he replied, "that is not a decision that I can make, I follow orders, it is above my pay grade to determine what if any response will be taken. Two crashed in Tripoli and one in Syria. Crews were able to bail out. Both in Syria were rescued, of the four it Tripoli, 3 have been captured, one of those was wounded in the explosion by the SAM. Excuse me, I must go...."
. A ship heading out through the Bosporus Straights was stopped by the Commonwealth member states of Armenia and Chicovia. The only shots were those across the bow of the Kirvak and Udaloy ships. As there was the Fire Support Monitor with its 12 5-inch guns aimed right at the Udaloy. There were tanks that appears on each side of the straight along with artillery ready to fire in the direct fire role. Adm. Nikoli on the Udaloy, I protest, the passage is guaranteed by treaty." Another shot across the bow of each ship was fired. The ships stopped. When Visby patrol craft and LCS ships came out, boarding parties took control of the ship, They took most of the crew of the two ships in small boats to ports north and south. Ships examined and taken, 1 to Armenia port and the other to the south to Chicovia port.
.
On Socotra Naval Base, a dozen Mi-24 Hind B came in, behind the primary attack wave of helicopters. These Hinds were carrying the Spestnaz teams with 10 men each. The landed at control building and bunkers, some of which were still not complete with the construction of the base. Fire fights ensured, but the attackers were successful taking the bunkers, buildings and prisoners. There were several explosions which was frustrating to the team commanders as they were initiated by the defenders to prevent the radios and systems from falling into the hand of the assault teams. Still two of the Hinds were hit with Stingers, one lost 8 of the 10 member team and 2 crewmen. The other landed in a very abrupt landing breaking the legs of several team members and crew., all were pulled out that were not able to get out on their own. The 7 members attacked the officers club on the golf course that just started construction, killing 9 officers and capturing 6 more along with staff of the club. As a Spestnaz NCO was rounding a corner looking for others a staff member shot him in the face with shotgun. 3 more Spestnaz ran in the direction. The man in black pants & white shirt was running away down the hall he was shot by automatic fire. Two more shots fired at the 3 assault soldiers killing one with a rifle and the other with a 12 gauge shotgun. These shots were fired by officers at the club who went into the Gun Club Room as the weapons were used for sporting clays and varmints. These officers retreated away. soon to be captured by other assault soldiers land from other helicopters.
.
. The Eurasia Imperial task force closed on the base two hours later, taking the docks in some firefights, resistance is waning as more soldiers landed and as the heli-borne soldiers took buildings, warehouses and the airbase. Several I;-76 landed with soldiers on board.
. The base is totally in control of Eurasia Imperial forces it is announced by the new commander of the Socotra Naval Base Admiral Putox. Medical help is being given to those wounded of the Commonwealth.
. About 14 minutes after Adm Putox made his announcement missiles came in hitting fuel buners at the seaport and airport in large explosions, hitting hangers, and crattering the runway. 4 Il-76 transports were destroyed, four Hinds were set on fire from the missiles. The missile came from the south.
. In the harbor several ships were hit by AS missile, some hit the warehouses, the docks the piers and even the sand berms facing the Sea of Aden. Launched from a SSGN about 80 miles away just below the surface.

The DDH joined the JFK task force in the western Indian Ocean north of Madagascar. The JFK sent out 2 E-2C planes, each with escort of 4 F-14 and two S-3 tankers. The Midway sent a similar patrol out in the mid-Indian Ocean while the Forestall sent 2 S-3 Trackers north bound separated by 350-400 miles. The Forestall also sent an S-3 Tracker to the east toward Australia with 2 F-14 and 2 S-3 tankers. Each task force has their ships set up for defensive action and the SSNs out for identification and to protect the task force. There are several SSGNs out north of the task forces with towed array.
. The task is to find the EE and the Peking Chinese naval assets, potentially for complete destruction.
.
The loss of life, of ships and the base at Socotra is difficult to take. Chinese of Peking are extending discussions to CoC to mitigate conflict with the CoC. The Peking Chinese have caused grave concern in the African Congress, especially Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, and Tanzania.
. Chad, Djibouti, Sudan \, and Somalia welcomes the Chinese military & economic aid (and the buy-offs of politicians, corruption).
. In Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at Boma on the west coast, a navy task force landed with cheers and confetti. Rooikats, MRAPS, Bushmasters, and Ratels landed along with trucks, lots of trucks. Moving west to secure DRC from the Chinese. It will take several days. There is expected to be more forces landing at Boma, DRC.
. In Ethiopia, a mechanized battalion is the vanguard of a larger force heading south to Kenya, crossing the border. Helicopter escort is in place. E-2 trackers are out searching and listening to traffic. BA-707 Looking Glass is airborne searching for potential risk and targets.

The eastern S-3 tracker M-E from the Midway has detected a large ship.... a few minutes later identified as CV Berstuk of the Eurasia Navy. Then detected a cruiser, believed to be the Lion and a destroyer. The Berstuk is southwest of Sri Lanka by about 450 miles.
. The western S-3 tracker from Forestall is picking up plots of its own, and receiving data from the M-E S-3 tracker. The Forestall has recalled the S-3 flying east to head northwest, the CV forestall wants to recover one S-3 tanker to send out another one.
. The SSGN Benton is 600 miles south of Sri Lanka. Collecting data from satellite for targeting for Harpoon AS missiles. Want to close the range some.
. A Sturgeon class SSN Treetops has detected a Victor, estimated about 45-50 miles away at 294 degrees true. A Perry from the Forstall group is 50 miles away, send out an SH-60 with a Mk 46 torpedo. Two S-3 are sent out.
. P-3 Orion are sent out from Ethiopia heading south over Kenya and Somalia then over the Indian Ocean with escort of 4 F-4 Phantoms, two in the Wild Wiesel mission.
2 UCAV are out from Ethiopia that flew over Yemen, one was shot down by SAM, SA-3. Predators were sent out to follow up on the lost UCAV. The 4 Predators and 2 Reapers engage various SAMs and T-72 as identified, knocking out two radar vehicles and 2 launchers along with 3 T-72 and a few buildings believed to be C3I.
.
As other SSGN was closer to the Berstuk it rose to a shallower depth, about 65-70 feet. As the E-3 was 100 miles behind to the south there were not any surface ships in the area except the Berstuk. 5-6-7 Mig-29 were launched to persue the E-3. The Raliegh fired 48 Harpoons at the Berstuk with data fed by satellite and the E-3. Targeted info of the Berstuk for 24 Harpoons, 12 for the cruiser and 8 for the destroyer. The other 4 were programmed to search for other target besides the above if any are identified.
. The destroyer engaged to defend itself with SAMs, knocking out 5, CWIS took out 2 more, chaff and electronic decoyed it taking out a KA-32 flying low just above the surface. The cruiser, fired 20 SAMs to protect the carrier, it was hit by 7 Harpoons. massive explosion took place, no survivors. The carrier had 9 Harpoons destroyed by the SAMs from the cruiser, its CWIS took out 3 more. 10 of the 12 hit the large carrier. It did launch 8 SU-25 and 4 more Mig-29s prior to impact. Two were set to take off, with one moving but it erupted in sumersaulted forward in the air. The pilot ejected during the planes rotation with his ejection pushing him into the forward deck of the Berstuk and then a fireball.
. When the SSGN was firing its Harpoons, with about 20 to go, an Oscar fired 4 torpedoes at the Raleigh, which were not detected for about 12 more minutes. It did identify the firing target Oscar. Returned fire with 4 Mk 48 torpedoes. As the last one exited the tube the Raleigh was hit by the first, the second, the third and final torpedo. Breaking up. The Oscar detected the incoming missiles turned to run deep as it was deeper than the Raleigh by 230 feet. It increase speed going below the thermo-cline layer, deploying decoy noise makers, the first two torpedoes were taken off course, but the other two ran true with the first one exploding very close. The second Mk 48 ACAP further away, but the damage intensified and flooding ensued, water rushed in taking the submarine down further. Then massive explosion occurred in the bow. Complete loss of the Oscar and the Raleigh, the Berstuk and the cruiser. S-3 dropped sonar buoys to listen in to the noise on both submarines. One of the S-3 was out of gas from the drop tanks and then returned to the Midway. Another two S-3 tankers took off, EA-6 took off along with 2 A-6 tankers.

The Mig-29s and Su-25 formed in two groups. Intially, the Mig-29 were tasked to take out the E-3 that was emitting a lot of electrons in the air, but at distance and with known escort, they would not be able to land. 4 of the SU-25 were configured in tanker mission. The other SU-25 headed south in spread formation to search and destroy each being accompanied by a tanker SU-25.
The air group did find a Perry to the west and one to the east. two of the SU-25 fired their two AS missile and Perry Class Belmont. 4 going in were detected, The SM-1 single rail launcher started firing the missiles, hitting one. The 76 mm gun and then the CWIS joined in destroying another as two missile hit the Belmont. Taking in tons of water, crew abandoned ship. These SU-25 turned north to Sri Lanka, asking for assistance. Crews and aircraft were taken under guard.
. To the west similar attack profile on the FFG Ocala was identified, the SU-25 came in a bit close as the SM-1 was able to shoot down one SU-25 after launch of its missile. One was shot down while the other one hit on the stern of the ship. One helo was airborne. The other two missile were also fired, but at further range. But one fired and then dropped into the ocean.... the other exploded 100 meters from the ship, showering the ship in hot metal. taking out the mast, communications, radar and nav systems. The planes headed north a bit behind the other SU-25 aircraft. The helo put out 'mayday' distress call... help is on the way.

In consideration by the CNO for naval engagement of the known Eurasia vessels in the Indian Ocean. The Svarog is being towed. It is South of Sri Lanka being towed to the west, possibly to Socotra Naval Base. Two ocean going tugs are there with more on the way. Cables from a replishment ship are helping tow the carrier. Escort is a CG, DD and two Frigates.
Under consideration is an attack from Ethiopia with air force F-111, would need refueling. Attack from Australia with refueling there and back. Option 3 is an attack package from an aircraft carrier or two in the Indian Ocean. And a combination of any of the options above.
. It was decided that primary objective is to take out the carrier, to sink it, perhaps destroy the escorts, tugs and supply ship with air wings and tankers. Secondary objective is to attack Socotra Naval Base with F-111 with TLAM missiles.
.
E-3 Hawkeye air craft up at 20,000 feet, two each from Midway & Forestall. Each has 4 F-14 in patrol and 2 S-3 as tankers. S-3 are out looking for other submarines from Eurasia Navy in the Indian Ocean along with P-3 our of Australia and Ethiopia. ASW frigates are out along with submarines to locate, identify and destroy or run off any enemy submarines.
. From the Forestall, the attack operation consists of: 14 F-14, 8 A-6 Tankers, 4 S-3 tankers. 16 A-6 Intruders carrying 2 Harpoons, 4 S-3 carrying Harpoons. 5 EA-6 are protecting the fleet in the SEAD mission.
. F/A-18 C and D are working on air defense of the carrier and task force with F-14.
From the Midway the attack operation consists of 12 F-14 flying CAP, 10 tankers of A-6. 17 A-6 Intruders carrying 2 Harpoons. 4 EA-6 in the SEAD mission.
. From the JFK, 3 E-3 are out with 4 F-14 and two tankers (typical profile). Search and destroy flights are with 8 A-6 with 2 Harpoons each, 2 EA-6 in SEAD, 8 F-14 in roll of CAP. Behind them in the search mission for submarines are a dozen S-3 with Mk 47.
. Midway attack group was directed to head north then north east. All attack planes were topped off with fuel. The Forestall attack group were sent northwest after being topped off. Should have enough fuel for the return of 500-550 miles.

Forestall attack group is coordinated by the E-3, sending the targeting points and targets.
At 80 miles, Harpoons are launched from the A-6 Intruders. 12 are targeted at Svarog, 8 at the cruiser, 4 at the destroyer, 2 each at each frigate, supply and a tug pushing the Svarog.
. The cruiser sends up SAMs to hit the incoming Harpoons where 5 of the Svarog Harpoons are knocked down. The remaining 7 have favorable results, 1 hitting a tug, 4 hit the Svarog and 2 shot down by their CWIS. Water is flooding comparments. The cruiser is the target by 8 AS missiles, shoot down 4 with missiles, 2 destroyed by CWIS and 1 hits a frigate that was caught between the Harpoon and cruiser. Helicopter hanger is destroyed, fires break out in the hanger, fuel ignites. Damage control response is immediate.
. The two frigates had rotated their position in response to the detection of incoming vampires..... so that 4 missiles inbound to a frigate, hit by two harpoons. Large explosion ensues and the frigate sinks within minutes with almost half the crew in the water. The destroyer is able to shoot down 3 harpoons, is hit by one and hits the stern, speed slows. lost towed array, only a few dead sailors with a dozen wounded mostly from flash burns.
Upon launch, the A-6 turn 155 degrees to head back to the Forestall.
.
The Midway attack group 15 minutes later Harpoons are sent in 12 more Harpoons on the Svarog, in which 10 hit the carrier, more explosions and the carrier rolls to the port and then sinks. Harpoons inbound at all the targets in which they are hit. The pulling supply ships is hit by 4 harpoons and it sinks after breaking apart. Only 1 ocean going tugboat survived the attack. It is picking up survivors.
. the air groups return to the Midway. On the return flight a Perry frigate is hit by two torpedoes. 3 S-3 aircraft are assigned to the submarine, there are sonar bouys dropped in line patterns. The first S-3 drops two Mk 46 torpedoes one hits the submarine, after the first one exploded on a decoy. Another Mk-46 is dropped a few minutes later by another S-3 and it hits the Oscar, The sinking submarine has collapsing bulkheads as it goes deeper in the Indian Ocean. NH-90 that were out for air crews that may have had to bailout are sent to the location of the Perry for rescue of survivors. SH-60 Seahawks are already on the scene to help.

The military convoy in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that contained Rooikats, Ratels, Bushmaster APCs and other MRAP along with trucks advanced into Kinshasa, the captial of DRC. There was not any resistance. Senior officers meet with senior government officals and representatives discussiing the Peking China insertion of soldiers. They apparently were light infantry and support, all wheeled vehicles to their knowledge, on the eastern border area. They did appreciate the help. They signed off on the security arrangements with the CoC.
. Documents were provide to the Democratic Republic President Al Peops and the cabinet and the visiting delegates and officers.

In Kenya, the advancing CoC army group is lead by Cobra helicopters and OH-6 Little Birds scouting out for Peking Chinese on the path to Nairobi. Eland 60 and 90 lead the way.... Swooooosh.... BOOM!!! RPG fired from a thicket of brush hit the Eland 90 which erupted in flames, complete loss including the 3 man crew. The AML 60 opened up with its breech 60mm mortar firing 4 rounds quickly which did eliminate that particular threat of two soldiers as was later determined.
The forward Ratels deployed their soldiers which spread out to guard the flanks and some advance into the village about 200 meter behind where the RPG was fired. Gun fire erupted from the houses adjacent to the road and RPG fired at the AML 60 just missing the vehicle as it swerved into the ditch. being stuck for a moment to avoid a jolt, as it started to move up the other side of the ditch while firing 60mm mortar rounds into a house hitting the wall 4-5 times... fragments splintered on the interior wounding two men with light wounds. An RPG hit the AML 60 high on the turret face knocking the gun out of position and killing the loader, wounding the commander. The driver continued behind cover climbing out and then pulling the commander out and moving away from the vehicle, keeping it between the enemy and them.
Ratel 20 opened up with 20mm rounds that pierced through the clay walls hitting several. An AML 90 ran over an AT mine in the road a flipping over in flames coming to a rest on the top of the turret. After the ammo starting cooking off the AML rolled on its side burning.

Out of Balzac Republic 3 Visby craft and 2 LCS ships sortied into the Baltic. There were not any ships from Eurasia Impire within sight nor on radar within 50 miles. JAS-39 Grippin flew patrol in a wider area.
. Later, southeast of the Balzac Republic, a Lafayette Class SSGN was west of Latvia by 58 miles, northwest of Riga by 70 miles, in the Baltic, the sub fired 14 Tomahawk cruise missiles. the headed north, then turning east with a slight northerly track, moving along 562 miles an hour..... then turning south east heading towards St Petersburg.... targeting St. Pete Naval Base. The missiles were hitting warehouses, two hit a tanker in port onloading fuel makeing a large, VERY Large fireball, which travel up the hoses and pipeline to the fuel storage tanks. Large explosion on shore. In the warehouses, furniture, food stuffs, cabinets, office supplies, computers, paint, etc.
. A Tomahawk hit a Slava at the pier destroying the bridge. Another hit a survey ship tied up in from of an admin. building. The last Tomahawk that hit a valuable military target hit the port command and administrative building.
.
In Kenya, in pursuit the Cobras found a command and communications park firing the TOW missiles into the group. The wire-guided missile did well, but not all cleared the trees the wired getting entangled and cut. 6 vehicles were burning. As an AH-1 came to inspect closer and shoulder fired SAM was fired hitting the Cobra on the starboard side into the engine. It hit the ground hard, The pilot was dead on impact of the SAM while the co-pilot/gunner was injured with the crash.
. As the ground forces of the Commonwealth moved further south in pursuit of the Peking Chinese the Rooikats were excellent, perfect Armored Cav operations. As they sped along firing on APC, with HEAT rounds, firing machine guns. At a large cross road/inter-section 2 dozen trucks were heading easterly, turning south on a 2 lane highway. 15 Rooikats were arrived and starting firing APFSDS rounds at the trucks since the rounds were in the 105mm breech. The reload rounds were HEAT which works better on soft-skin vehicles. The AP round shattered the side window and exited the front window causing some light wounds that did bleed and hurt a lot. 4 rounds went through the canvas of the truck. A few soldiers lost there heads, some were shot through the chest. Other trucks had boxes ripped apart they the APFSDS rounds. Then the HEAT was causing fires on many trucks. The 3 remaining AH-1 helicopters headed by to re-fuel and re-load. The Rooikats continued down the highway as a detection unit did determine that there seems to be a command and brigade HQ about 17 miles further to the southeast.
.
President I El Lr of CHI Republic will send a new Envoy to Canada, not happy with the comments of the previous Envoy who had pro-Canada tendencies.

The Commonwealth's Balzac Republic sent out two more Visby patrol craft to join the first Visby on patrol to look at the PROC ships as they transited the Baltic Sea heading west. They did take lots of pictures as these ships are unknown to us.
Balzac electronic detection unit was receiving and evaluating the transmissions, radar, etc. An LCS left port and was to follow the ships out to capture acoustic signature of the ships for the data base. Then to pass on the info to allies.
.
In the Indian Ocean combat zone. As an SSGN of the Lafayette Class was meeting a sub-tender in the India Ocean about 650 miles southeast of Socotra, the electronic signals where picked up by an Eurasia Il-76 Radar flying east of Sra Lanka and a Bear F flying 300 miles southwest of Sra Lanka. Passed the information to the Socotra Naval Base under Eurasia control which fired 6 of their new anti-ship missile. The Sub-tender radar did pick up the incoming vampires moving extremely fast. None of the missiles hit the SSGN, However, the 4 that did cause significant damage to the SSGN, with holes in the sail and some breeches of the hull. The sub-tender had several secondary explosions, caught fire, burned and exploded. The SSGN hull was pierced in several places taking on water, a missile that was being loaded exploded with all the fuel, the SSGN sank too. Only about 55 people from ship and sub survived, being rescued 30 minutes later by an LSC and Perry frigate.

The CoC is appreciative of the help from ROD in the Indian Ocean.
. It came as a shock of the loss of an SSGN and the sub-tender under these circumstances. It was a smart play by Eurasia acquisition and targeting the sub and sub-tender by the Bear and Il-76. The forces of CoC will need to eliminate/reduce conditions to have allowed that to occur.
.
In the eastern Indian Ocean, from the JFK, 2 control air groups took off. Each contained an E-2 Hawkeye took off along with 4 F-14 and 2 S-3 tankers. One heading west at low level then elevating to 32,000 ft, their carrier call sign is Peru. The west bound ground flew west 180 miles then northwest then elevated in steps... to 29,000 feet. Their ship call sign is Wolf-Den. Each using different channels and communication ** CENSORED **, codes and frequencies, to imply that each group is from a different carrier.
. Behind by 30 minutes flying at 3,000 is the attack group with 12 A-6 and 5 or 6 S-3 in tanker role, 4 EA-6 (not emitting for now) with E-pods and a wing tank each. Also in the attack mode are 10 A-6 carrying a Tomahawk each with ECM pod and two fuel tanks on the port wing. 8 F/A-18 C and 2 F/A-18 D in the group. At a distance of 612 miles out from Socotra, targeting the runway with 5 TLAM Dural-runway warheads and the 5 of the remaining targeting the SAM sights and 2 targeting the munitions bunker for the AS missiles. Of the 5 for the AS sites, 3 cluster munitions destroyed 8 fixed launchers. One hit the ammo magazine destroying it and the weapons secured that. 4 hit the runway cratering the runway and the taxi-way and area of the tarmac.
. It was detected that there were 3 Bears in ECM role and detection. 2 F-14 were tasked to one Bear 300 miles southwest of Sri Lanka. The F-14 came up and gave chase. Since the Il-76 was not up at the moment the Bear detecting the fighters acquisition and then fire-control radar, it turned and reducing altitude..... 2 AIM-54 Phoenix missiles fired, exploding 14 feet from the starboard wing, shredding the wing. It then broke off and the plane tumbled. Crew bailed out.
The F-14 flew west to try to apprehend the next Bear. As the Il-76 was airborne at 22,000 northeast of Socotra Island, near the Yemen coast it provided intel to the Bear letting it know of the incoming bandits (F-14s). It turned north to fly over Socotra then Yemen.
.
The DDH launched 4 Harriers with AA missiles. for close defense. The JFK launched 6 more F-14 for intermediate defense.

In Kenya, From Ethiopia in an undisclosed airbase 11 F-111 and 3 EF-111 took off and two UCAV-47 E drones. Each F-111 was carrying 2 Tomahawk missiles and four laser guided 500 lb bombs. Over Yemen, the F-111 fired the Tomahawk at Socotra, hitting the port, SAM sights, and anti-ship missile sites that were still intact from assessment from previous raid. 22 missiles launched and all impacted with help from the 3 EF-111 and the two UCAV-47 E drones with jamming of detection/radar and jamming of data transfer & communication radio and lines. The F-111 then targeted their specific target with their 4 laser targeted bombs: SAM sights, command/control, military warehouses.

Tripoli patrol vessel identified a ship operating/sailing under UN Flag, without national flag. The suspected ship is believed to be from Eurasia. 6 miles behind is a Osa 1 ship which is followed by another Osa 1 (I.D. as Osa 2) by 4 miles on fly-by with a NH-90.
The Visby announced an inspection of the freighter, instructing to stop. The crew said they would get a Capt. he was sleeping at 6am. Reported that he had been drinking the night before. (believed to be a delay tactic. The ship did slow from 10 kts to 8 knots speed. The freighter is still 35 miles from Egyptian waters and then to transit the Red Sea. 4 Cobra helicopters were launched to assist with the boarding along with 6 NH-90 with Naval Infantry and Coast Guardsmen. 2 LCS ships left port and saw the suspected Eurasia ship within 45 minutes, 55 minutes for the second LCS.
.
The Osa missile boats came down from the Adriatic Sea. A Slava is now known for have just entered the Med from the Adriatic along with a Udaloy. The are flying the Macedonian Flag,
. Encoded transmission from Osa 1, detected, encoded transmission from Montenegro, few minutes later on same frequency. Osa 1 increase speed to 30 knots toward the freighter. Acquisition radar on, Target radar lock on Visby craft. Two missiles fired at Visby to the north of the freighter. The Sea-RAM missiles fired, once, twice, thrice hitting both missiles several miles away. The Osa fired its 4 remaining missiles, the Visby fired the remaining 5 missiles hitting 2 incoming, its 57mm gun opened up. firing 3 rounds a second, hitting 1 missile. The remaining missile impacted the Visby. No survivors. Very large explosion, smoke seen for miles and miles. The LCS then fired 3 Harpoons at the Osa 1 target, Its forward turret fired rapidly, hitting a missile, the pop-up Harpoon came in from above destroying the Osa. Osa 2 fired all 6 of its missiles at LCS still 22 miles away to the east. The LCS fired 2 Harpoons at the OSA and 3 at the freighter. The LCS steered so that the missile launch from the Osa 10 miles from the frieghter was partially blocking line of site. 2 of the missiles from the Osa hit the frieghter, 1 his and destroyed a Visby and 2 hit and destroyed the LCS. 2 Harpoons hit and destroyed the OSA. Only survivors were 3 crew members from the large freighter. The helicopters were looking for survivors, did pick up the 3 crew members from the freighter.
. Those people did confirm the Eurasia freighter was to resupply their forces in Djibouti.
From Chicovia 8 F/A-18 C took off from an air base with 2 Harpoon missiles each. A P-3 aircraft flying out of Malta did provide targeting data on the Slava and Udaloy in the Med. The missile launch time was the F/A-18 was 48 minutes after take off. 3 planes fired at each ship with their two missiles. The P-3 carrying 2 Harpoons along with 4 Mk 46 torpedoes watched and evaluated the engagement from 60 miles away. The incoming Harpoons from the F/A-18s came in low. The ships fired SA-N-20, SA-N-22 at the Harpoons, knocking down 2 targeting the Udaloy and one targeting the Slava. Second missile launch sequence shot down two and two. The Udaloy close in weapons systems fired hitting 1 of the remaining Harpoons, The final Harpoon did its pop-up maneuver and slammed into the superstructure toward the stern, penetrating into the hanger and below decks before exploding, It tore through a KA-52 Helix in the hanger which cause a small fuel leak. The explosion ignited the fuel line for the helicopters which rushed fuel into maintenance area. more small explosions ensured, moving into the engine room, Large metal hit the turbine causing it to rip blades and coming to a halt after warping. The ship was able to make about 12 knots. Fire control teams went down in the area, bellowing black smoke was coming out when doors were opened. Large plumes of black smoke coming out of the open door of the hanger.
. The Slava gun systems hit one Harpoon, thus two hit the Slava, one hitting the third pair of anti-ship missiles on the port side. where the rocket fuel ignited and that increased the size of the explosion and other missiles fuel ignited and burned. The internal communication system went dead. The second Harpoon hit on the bow of the Slava just missing the front mount. The missile went down into the internal bowels of the ship detonating the ammo which ripped off the bow. The Slava did sink within 8 minutes. The stern was the last sight to be seen. Over 100 sailor were in the water.
.
Ground forces that have been based in Ethiopia and then moved into Kenya have advanced further south approaching Nairobi. Light defense, believed to be rear guard action of the Peking Chinese has occurred. Last night a Ratel 90 was moving up the road with a Rooikat. Being fairly dark with only light from the moon and the stars, the thermal viewer provided a clear outline of the vehicle and its type to the ATGM gunner. He fired the ATGM, the black blast signature was visible to the vehicle drivers and those standing in the hatch. It hit the Rooikat, bursting into a flame, then burned out.... then the inside of the turret ammo started cooking off. The commander lost his legs with the initial blast from the ATGM, starting to fall then was blown out of the turret and died before he hit the ground. The Ratel 90 fired its HEAT round at the anti-tank gun crew, the raked the area with LMG fire, killing two crew of the missile team. This slowed the advance by over 30 minutes putting General Smat in a horrible mood.

On the Yer Bouti border, the CoC patrols have continued, although as the guys are more relaxed. They have listened to those entering and leaving YB in the south to get a gauge or temper-mint on the other side. There have been some people that have moved east and/or west, usually with a small bribe and even to the north the right bribe to the right guard will provide access/entry. Commercial vehicles usually have a higher bribe, but very reasonable to gain entry with the higher prices in YB. Because of the relaxing on the border, especially the southern border, prices have been declining for consumers.
. Many of the more heavy armored vehicles had been quietly moved off the line, border.
. Another check was sent to the Yer Bouti National Bank of yer Bouti, for oil royalties from the Azores Oil Field. $42,000,000 was sent since prices have declined since the US is producing more oil and is a net producer of petro.
.
Bulgariadom has sent a security & information team by 737 into Moldova. A few convoys have also enter Moldova
