Wow...thanks GHQ. I know you want my wallet dead now. I was going to buy minis at a leisurely pace to convert to make JGSDF units but now that there will be well made official minis I can just focus on painting instead of crafting. But my poor wallet. Won't anyone think of the wallet. Seriously, I'm excited but also anxious as I'm not done with my Soviets yet.

Really happy about the DIana; I will be buying these!. Any chance of Sdkfz 132 Marder II as well? 201 built by Germans.

Something I cannot get anywhere is French World War 2 artillery crews. I have lots of GHQ French artillery and AT guns but no crews! On the same subject more French WW2 armour would be great e..g. Char Leger D1, Char Leger D2, Char Leger FCM 36, Lorraine 38L VBCP. GHQ do a great range already but it needs extending. :D

True! The longer flight deck was refitted after only a few months service. However, GHQ seems to me to like doing the unexpected on occasion. I wouldn't be surprised if they produced the original design just because it's different. Those who are primarily collectors might prefer the unusual. In my case, I've heard that one or more of the UK ships had camo patterns, which I love to paint, so I'd be more interested in a refitted version that I could modify.

I do wish that GHQ would produce more WWi & WWII ships each year. At my age, I don't have a lot of years left, & I fear that I'll be gone before they put out the ships I want. Just in case that happens, I've put GHQ on my list of people to haunt. No moans and rattling chains; I'll just float invisibly over them and whine! A soul-searing whine I learned from one of my grandchildren many years ago; one that vibrates the enamel off your teeth and sends you out screaming into the night.

WWII Suggestion

Post by ACWBill »

There are three things I would love to see in the WWII line.

1.) US infantry in Great Coats for the Bulge
2.) German infantry in Great Coats as above (Some in M43 Soft Cap)
3.) Pack of civilian cars in Wehrmacht service (Examples: Citroen Traction Avante, Fiat
Topolino, Mercedes Benz 170, Horch Cabriolet) and other similar civilian cars
pressed into service.

Here’s hoping the Fuso is an early war version. Don’t really know what the difference is, but I don’t see much point in late war Japanese old battleships, as they were sitting ducks. Prefer to game early War or alt-history 30s war where these old clunkers meant something. But then the only time they were used was in 44. Oh they went to Midway - with the second string.

Well I am hoping it is late war, since it basically did nothing until Surigao Strait in '44 (of course it didn't do much there either!) But I would prefer it with the additional AA so I can model and game Surigao.

An early-war version of the Fuso isn't attractive; the ship didn't participate in any significant combat during this time. I would prefer a Suriago Strait appearance.
If you want an earlier version, go for an as-built version for hypothetical WWI combat or the 1933 conversion (early pagoda mast and oil-fired boilers) for The Great Pacific War.
