Military website resources

I wanted to start a thread that lists all of the good military website resources that everyone uses. Here are some that I like to use. These may be pretty common/basic, but in a lot of situations I find them to give me a good place to formulate a start to a more in depth search. I know that a lot of people don't look favorably upon Wikipedia, but that is also one that I like to use to start things out. I would not accept anything on there without verifying it, but it's a good place to start, especially if there are sources cited at the bottoms of the Wikipedia articles.

That's just a few more general ones that I have bookmarked. I have a lot more that are more specific. I always like to look through these types of things and bookmark them because i never know what i may need in the future. I also find them interesting to keep on hand because often times there is something that pops up on here that is out of my usual area of interest, but I find the dialogue to be interesting and want to be able to keep up with what is being said.

What are some of the websites that you use? This could probably be a few different threads- one for WWII, one for Cold War, one for current equipment, one each for all of those for land and sea. What do you think?

I really enjoy this forum, and have always enjoyed the friendly banter and exchange of information and eye candy. I think that there has been too much in the last few months about peoples own drama, and making a statement of whether they are going to post here, or not. I really don't care about the big proclamations- if you are going to post something that others would enjoy or find useful, then post it, if not, don't tell us why you are not going to post something here.

I'm sure that last bit will poke a hornets nest, but I think that it needs to be said. Regardless, please share some of those golden websites that you probably have bookmarked. I know that others will like to see those too!

This is what I enjoy about the forum as well. I enjoy the exchange of information, "eye candy" and modeling tips. Here are some sites that I use for WW 2 Italy and Germany:

This is a great idea for a topic! Maybe it would be a good idea to break this off into separate topics for different categories. If anyone wants, we can do that.

For what it's worth, a lot of people do use Wikipedia because many of the new model suggestions that we receive have Wikipedia links in them. As the original poster said, don't completely trust Wikipedia, but it is a good place to start some searches for things, and when verified most of the factual information about tanks, trucks, planes, ships, etc. is correct...just be sure to check it against a couple of other sources.

I usually just start Googling if I'm looking for something specific, but this is a good site for modern US TO&E. I'm using it to get my ACR organization nailed down.
