Ft Gatun, Panama
The awards were great fun, many of the guys slept, did not hear their names called, their units called. Each unit was called with a description that they did that was meritorious, to share the learning. The NCOs were inside showing slides and/or video of the action. All were successful and proud. 5 teams were used as an example when something went wrong, really wrong. Not that the same technique would not have worked in a slightly different situation, probably would have. Then their particular success was shared. Great learning. Lunch was served. Bunks were available. Some slept first, others ate first. About 2200 hours many awoke, ate again. Beer was brought in, consumed.
. The significant drinking took place the next day after 15-16 hours of sleep over last 20 hours. Volleyball, swimming, drinking, swimming in pool or Lake Gatun took place all day and into the evening.
. Evaluations were written of the exercises for more detail review by the teams and their leadership. Info transmitted to their leaders, copies available for all participants to share information with other Jungle warriors in the ROD & CoC armies.
. Another class is slated to begin in 2 weeks.

A great end to a great event! The ROD troops will be stopping by the ROD Infantry School on their way home for a debrief and discussion with the doctrine guys. We will certainly be incorporating lessons learned into the infantry curriculum at some point.

If there is room in the next class, the ROD 20th Infantry Battalion would like to send some guys!

ROD soldiers, etc. are always welcome.
Next class will need swim trunks, driving knife and googles to keep the high bacteria water out of their eyes so they do not go blind.
Send them on. Next class begins in just over a weeks. We are planning to celebrate the 4th of July with the Americans at their command. They are hosting parade, picnic, bar-b-q.

Next time, have the party AFTER graduation. Individuals and units are NOT permitted to miss the ceremonies just because they partied too hard. What kind of route-step outfits do you folks have in your armies, anyway?

Just recently the Coalition has lost contact with the forces who was performing counter insurgency operation in Venezuela, Once our mission in Mauritania is over we will sail back to South America to investigate what happened.

Just because "competence" begins with a "c" does not mean it is associated with Canada. What's more, they will wait until it's convenient to find out what happened. Suggest Canada take left hand, reach up over head and grasp firmly the right ear, take the right hand, reach up over the head and firmly grasp the left ear. Give a swift, hard jerk . Hopefully, but not likelyy, that will pull his head out of his (oops! I can't say that in the forum!).

At least Its not Canada's fault this time, its Coalition HQ in Rio, the Australians where currently in charge of this operation after we left for Mauritania, the Australian army personal at HQ reported that the Coalition strike force in Venezuela never reported back since June 3rd, HQ is currently investigating the disappearance, they will send out a P-3 to recon the last known position of the strike force.

A Brazilian P-3 Orion flew overhead to survey the area outside of Santa Elena de Uairen, where the Coalition strike force was last heading too last month, their cameras showed a horrifying sight, the ground was littered with the remains of both infantry and armored vehicles alike. It looks as if they where ambushed by the VZ army and AL-Kabab.

Unsupported, abandoned, forgotten, left to their fate. This ain't the way to run a railroad. Amateur meddling, lives wasted. Some folks should just stay home. Who would send their son or daughter, husband or wife, into such an incompetent organization run by a government hell-bent on sailing around, willy-nilly, meddling in other people's affairs, leaving death and destruction in its wake? There is no excuse for such incompetence and wanton killing.

Canada
Protests in several large cities in Canada and in smaller cities and towns. Protest is against the Government and Military. Some happened in the center of the business district marching to the WW1 or WW2 Memorials at a park. Most peaceful. Most at any one location was 3-4000 people. Most sang songs or chanted 'bring our boys & girls home, when do you want it, Now' during the march. Some throwing of rocks and windows smashed. In Vancouver, some fights broke out with police. 2 arrested. 1 officer and 2 protesters visited ER, were released.
. More protests expected tomorrow. Keep you eye out on FB and other social media. Expect larger crowds. That is the concern. Police escort was available today in most cases shortly after people congregated in a park. Sgt Trudeau (no relation to the PM) of Calgary said, "I would join the protest as my brother is in the Canadian army. The leadership is poor, there isn't a strategy."

Canada
Protests have declined in size about 20% in the larger cities of Canada. 3-4-8 people in some of the smaller towns, so they go to a breakfast shop to drink coffee to discuss the disdain of the Canadian Leadership.
Large Protest at the Navy Base where the ships came in. Security is tight at the fence and protestors are not making any attempt to enter, unlike Area 51.
.
There are rumors circulating from VZ and Brazil. Intelligence Officers are trying to determine the origination location. This bears further effort of collection and evaluation of information.
.
Classes are forming Now. The next Jungle training class is forming up. As of now 147 members from the CoC have arrived for the training. Expect others from the UK and France. Even Country of Tripoli: Knight Templar is sending 10 men despite being located at the eastern end of the Med.
. Invitations to ROD and K-country are extended from Panama. Ft. Randolph is a place that welcomes all to train here.

The ROD would like to send 20 soldiers to this class as well. They will all be from the 20th Infantry Battalion over at the other end of the waterway. We'll chopper them over whenever you're ready for them!
