I always enjoy these threads. It's fun to imagine and dream and write out all my deepest darkest desires (micro-armor wise, that is). It's also fun to read what other folks would like, and to ponder "well yeah, why not?"
But my first response to this thread was actually something more like:
"I got my ETO Shermans. What more could I want???? I got Shermans. Shermans SHERMANS SHERMANS. I'm a happy camper. I'll be buying and painting and custom kit-bashing companies of Shermans for as long as I can hold a brush."
Or something like that.
But then I read the thread. Well you know Pete and Cav and so many others make so many good suggestions. I mean, yeah, maybe I'll spend a year painting and customizing Shermans. Maybe 2 years. But I'd also surely love a couple of the other items on the lists.
So put me down as voting for:
WW2 Engineers -- I'll take US, Russian, and any third party (Romanians, Italians, French ... well OK not so keen on Hungarians or Finns, yet).
WW2 Italian Alpini -- Oh yummy yummy. Yes please. Individual infantry and heavy weapons.
WW2 Italian Motorcycle Troops -- Bersaglieri or not (I can live with or without a feathered helmet). Please focus on tandem riders with a few tricycles (not side-cars!). Also, in this pack or separately, some parked (un-mounted) motorcycles please!
That's enough for me. I'm too satisified to ask for much more.

Oops. Nope. Didn't get my Shermans.I always enjoy these threads. It's fun to imagine and dream and write out all my deepest darkest desires (micro-armor wise, that is). It's also fun to read what other folks would like, and to ponder "well yeah, why not?"

So now seeing that the Shermans on the schedule for the 2019-2020 roll-outs are M4A3s, I will return an item to my wish-list.
I want Shermans for American forces to use in ETO in the summer of 1944.
M4, or M4A1, either one.
Armed with 75mm guns. With split commander's hatch, M34A1 mantlet, and applique armor. I prefer no loader's hatch, but I'll take with loader's hatches if that's what comes in.
I'd like to think I'm not the only wargamer who wants Shermans for my US Army in ETO in the summer of 1944. D-Day, the boccage, the break-out and drive to the Seine, and beyond.

Wish List
I should put my wish list here, so it can be added in.
All Ultra Modern:
Italy/Germany: Orso VTMM (Veicolo Tattico Medio Multiruolo
Italian and German, though I prefer the Italian designation because when I hear the German version it sounds like someone needs a tissue. "Geschützte Führungs- und Funktionsfahrzeuge". What? Are you okay? Umm... Gezundheit? And people actually think German is closer than Italian to English? What part of Veicolo Tattico Medio Multiruolo would English speakers miss?
Anyway...
“Big brotherâ€, sort of, to the Iveco Lince. This would very nicely finish off the current tactical lineup of the Italians, except for the Puma. But the Puma is being phased out. The airmobile and airborne troops still have theirs because it is very light and can be easily airlifted/airdropped. But the Italians discovered the Lince was a bit too light, it did not stand up well to enemy fire and mines in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Puma is a very good looking vehicle, though… I'd take that too if there was a 6th choice! Sadly, it was introduced in 1999, and already being phased out 20 years later, too young for Cold War, too old for Ultra Modern! A true "Millenial" vehicle.
UK/Germany: M3 Amphibious Rig.
It’s a truck. It’s a bridge. It’s a ferry. It’s a really interesting, well designed and aesthetically pleasing piece of river crossing equipment. Very nice. It would probably be only 2 per pack, but it would be worth it. Purists will probably want a waterline model as well, and perhaps it could be designed so that the miniature could be built in 3 different configurations- traveling, deploying, and waterline. Bonus: It looks similar enough to its M2 Cold War ancestor so that cold war gamers could use it without too much imagination.
China: ZTL-11 8x8 amphibious 105mm assault gun
This would be really easy for GHQ to do, because it’s a gun variant of the ZBL-08 which they already do, in fact, they also do one other variant of the same vehicle. Low hanging fruit for GHQ. Honestly, with China making so many varieties of their base vehicles, (See the new turrets on the WZ551's gathered outside of Hong Kong? I guess they caught on to the Western idea that a manned turret is actually a good thing) that it might be nice just to have a Chinese Alternate Turrets pack.
France: EBRC Jaguar
Coming soon to replace various wheeled reconnaissance vehicles, Belgium is also buying them. This would complement the Griffon, which GHQ is already planning. With the other vehicles already made, the Jaguar would round out the 2020's lineup for France. If the Piranha III is ever made, Belgium as well.
Russia: Bumerang.
I don’t know why, but this one keeps coming back to me. The state of the art in Russian 8x8 armored personnel carriers.

Ben, by "Puma," I assume you are referring to the Italian 4-wheeled armored car and not the German tracked infantry fighting vehicle...
All blessings flow from a good mission statement.
Pogo was right. So was Ike.
"A Gentleman is a man who is only rude intentionally." (Churchill)
Give credit. Take responsibility.

That's the one. It's got a 4x4 and 6x6 version. It's a shame it hasn't been that successful, it's really stylish for an armored vehicle.
Not as stylish as the Cadillac Scout. That's a hot looking vehicle there. Not so successful either. But a really great looking machine.
