The ROD has asked Jordan permission to allow us to enter into their country in order to get access to the peninsula and thus the Can-al, that was what the ROD intel wanted us to do.

Now thanks to your "defense" CofC we have to pull back out of Jordan, thus ruining part of the RODs plan to retake the Can-al.

The ROD and NCAF forces are in tactical assembly areas just south of the Jordanian border. Jordan has indeed granted us permission to pass through the southern tip of the country and the southern tip of Israel so that we can reach the Sinai. We haven't crossed the border into Jordan yet though.

The Sinai is how we're going to reach the Suez Can-al, Mech. You can sail right up into the Suez, but if you get past the Imperial Navy in the area you'll be between two enemy forces.

Unfortunately the NCAF Brigade we sent to travel near the border with Jordan with the ROD got shot up pretty good as a result of this misunderstanding by the Jordanian army, so this plan to reach the Sinai was seriously fubred.

We need to find another way.

No one got shot up. I AM THE REFEREE! There is no creative writing in this wargame. I'm rolling dice on my end and posting all combat results to the micro battles website. You get an Intel report from me and you send me your orders. I move stuff on the control map, roll dice, consult charts, and then I tell you what happened.

Jordan
The Division commander, General Akmed did not receive the instructions. There has been electronic jamming. Perhaps EE, Israel ....
The M-1S division is on alert, but has backed out of the path of your advance.
Escorts are available to help with local traffic.
Jordan Foreign Minister sends apology.

The NCAF forces proceed with the plan to Jordan, but the troops are growing weary and suspicious over the RODs plan.

Who cares what the NC soldiers think or say, after all it has only been 1-2 days of movement after breaking camp in Saudi Arabia. How would the soldiers know what plans ROD developed? Order come down, commanders issue their orders setting time table for specific units, battalions, companies, platoons, movement schedules and routes. I bet that since the world knows that the ROD Lt. General in command will find these guys to speak with them for an hour to find the proper plan that should be implemented.
. Puftas and patsies .... the NC army is made up of Puftas and Patsies. What a way to fight a war. Volunteer army. Guess basic was not tough enough since the guys when finished do not feel capable, that they can accomplish anything.
How would the world know the the NC soldiers are puftas anyway.

Remember you're still in Saudi Arabia. The boys need time to upload supplies and ammo and take one last dump in a real porta pottie before they cross the Line of Departure. The start time for Operation Appaloosa was in the email that I sent you this morning.

Camp Gretzky Air strip.
CF-14 Squadrons are in the process of loading up both Napalm and HE bombs in preparation to conduct heavy bombing campaigns in the Suez Can-al tomorrow morning, in a effort to drive out the Imperial troops located in the area before ground forces can arrive to secure it. Brigadier General Fitzgerald back in CFB Lahr is confidence that this strategy is sound, in order for the ground forces to engage little to no resistance when they arrive.

General Fitzgerald is confident of success despite the thinking of some of his men.

At 1800 hours local time, ROD and NCAF forces commenced phase 2 of Operation Appaloosa. The troops crossed Phase Line Gull headed west toward positions of the Imperial 10th Airborne Division. Scores of combat aircraft from the ROD and NCAF roared out of the Tabuk air base headed for the Sinai and beyond. More than one ROD unit had Guns N Roses Welcome to the Jungle blasting over the command net as they crossed the LD.

The ROD Amphibious Force is conducting a landing on the south Egyptian coast near the city of Hurghada, while the ROD Mediterranean Fleet is playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the Imperial fleet.

Two ROD RF-4C recon aircraft were lost in the Sinai today - one to a SAM and one to an Imperial fighter. In Mahishmati, a third RF-4C was shot down by ground fire.

The Radioman in the lead LAV III switches the radio to a different frequency.

Blasting over the command net, ROD? Great in a movie, not so great for radio communications discipline in real life. I'm surprised. With the net keyed, how do you communicate real requirements? Does ANYBODY remember "PUSH to talk, RELEASE to LISTEN?"
