Oh, this is great. Snowless on Leopard 2 in the ocean with 4 foot waves. It might be 6 feet deep, 10 feet deep... those Leopards will stay dry, donâ€™t ya think?

This Marine Regiment only has 2 mission sets, Rapid deployment to secure a Beachhead for the Army to use, and conduct Conventional Warfare operations further inland.

Where thinking of getting Landing Craft most likely LCM 8s for the lighter vehicles, and for the Infantry a Mix of LTV-4s and LVTP-5s.

This Experiment with the Leapord 2 is to see if we can take advantage of the turret Snorkel for deployment in a beach landing environment. and these tanks are known to travel in 4 meters or 13 feet of water.

Leopard 2 snorkel might be 4 meters, 13 feet. Dropping a Leopard 50 - 100 yards out from shore.... just drop them off the front of a boat/ship. Might land upside down, on its side..... I am thinking the crew will have a jolt hitting bottom.

Oh wait, 2 miles out, a crane will lower the tanks by cable, the tanks can motor in...need to keep your compass or GPS to ensure driver does not get turned around heading to Mexico or Cuba underwater.

It is not driving in from one side of a stream and coming out 20-200 feet away on the other side. The ocean is different.

The Germans found that out thinking about Operation Sea Lion,(Operation Lion), invasion of England. The English Channel is different than a river. The English and Americans learned in Operation Torch, Operation Husky (Sicily), Operation Avalanche (Italy), Operation Shingle (Anzio), before Operation Neptune.

Mech, I still think you need to learn the basics before you do the fancy stuff like amphibious warfare, or before you go for big operations of brigade or larger size.

Build a tank company or an infantry company and get into the details with it. Learn what they do and how they behave and how to employ them. Then after that go for a regiment.

Besides Chris and Shawno, the NCAF does not have a ship capable of carrying and using LCAC's, not to mention those Hover vehicles are expensive to maintain and utterly frail, they can be easily destroyed before they can reach land.

Then get landing craft and a ship capable of embarking them. All landing craft can be destroyed before reaching shore. And all vehicles can be destroyed once on shore, even MBT's. That's called war.

As Chris pointed out, doing a river crossing inland is different than an amphibious landing. But this is all imaginary...so whatever floats your boat, or perhaps I should say...sinks your tanks!

I have planned to getting some LCM 8s, as for ships. Im leaning towards the Britsh Albion or Fearless Class LPD.

Next is Marine Aircraft.
Easy enough as we have Sea Kings and Sea Knights, for attack aircraft, Im leaning to the Hawker Sidney Harrier.

After a couple days worth of research and data, the NCAF has finalized their choices of Aircraft to replace their aging fleet of CF-14 Tomcats.

For the RCAF they choose the Panvaia Tornado.

For the Royal Canadian Navy they choose the Dassault Rafale.

Both of these Aircraft will be put into service later this year.

(Once money starts flowing again to buy more GHQ models.)

The NCAF has reported that some of the serviceman who we sent out to assist Health Canada at home into fighting the virus, has disappeared, these where the very same serviceman that took part in the now defunct NC Special Forces program, along with the data gathered from the ROD Ranger School. The Question is: Where did they go?

The Beginnings of the NC's first and only unofficial Special Forces Unit (albeit without the governments approval), The Black Maple Company. a 80 person Strong Mercenary Company lead by their founder and leader, Acting Lt Colonal Maxwell. Maxwell was one of the NCOs that was sent to the ROD's Recondo School for training into the arts of Small Squad Tactics and how to operate as a team, when the program was Canceled back in March, Maxwell and his companions took the research data and formed their own Mercenary Company as a means of keeping this program alive, by taking contracts mostly with the NCAF (if they needed though.) or other nations that needs them, Their mobile base of operations is a closely guarded secret, shared only to those within the company. However given the abrupt nature of the Cancellation of the SF program, the BMC hones their skills ether on the Job, or with another nations SF unit who will befriend them.
These Mercs swear a oath that states "They will refuse contracts or missions, that involves killing of their fellow Canadians."

With the loss of HMCS Canada, all RCN Carrier Aircraft that remain are placed Into â€œindefinite Storageâ€ until ether we get the chance to Recover the Canada, or a buy a new SuperCarrier to replace her.
