Book on US armored divisions

Received today a copy of "US ARMY ARMORED DIVISION 1943-1945, Organization, Doctrine, Equipment, by Yves Bellanger

Wire diagrams for organizations using line drawings of tanks, communication diagrams, how the tank battalion is employed. What kind of tanks did the division have at what point in the war? The answer is in here. This is the whole nine yards! Covers the light armored division and all component, cavalry, medics, chow sections, signal, ALL OF IT!

This volume covers the "light" divisions. The "heavy" divisions are to be covered in another volume. This was published in 2010. Hope he's still alive and working on it. Holy SHERMANS, BATMAN! THIS IS TANK ** CENSORED **!

Has a two-volume set on the infantry divisions, as well.

Agreed, it's a fantastic book, well worth every cent. The unfortunate omission is the attachments (AAA and TD battalions aren't included) but other than that, a very complete coverage of the light division as mandated.

The equivalent for German and British units would be the military press books. Not as comprehensive, but still very good. They don't just list what they should have, but for the German divisions, what they actually received.

Agreed. I haven't received the first volume on infantry divisions, yet, so I don't know if those attachments are covered in it. Likely, he plans a volume on those corps and army pools. Perhaps they will be covered in Volume II, when he goes over the heavy armored division (2nd & 3rd ADs). He is also French, so you will encounter an odd word choice or turn of phrase. English is not his first language. Nevertheless, it is a very comprehensive volume. In any case, I am not complaining.
