If there is one thing we can expect from Mindanaodom, it's that they will do the unexpected! We need to get that RPNW armor into the fight!

RPNW forces were delayed in the assembly area. The confusion created by the Mindanaodom faint cause confusion and the RPNW wasted valuable time trying to determine the direction of the actual counter attack.

Image

The RPNW command post began issuing orders.

Image

The scouts were sent out in small teams, to determine where the enemy was.
Image

Once the enemy was located, the LAR mortars went into action. Distracting the Mindanaodom forces from the armor fist that would soon come crashing down.

Image

RPNW armor race across open country, into the flank o the OPFOR positions.

Image

At last the RPNW armor began to fire on the enemy.

Image

The RPNW took heavy casualties, but delayed them enough for the ROD artillery and units to get set.

What a great exercise! 1st MEU was expecting the Mindanaodom Marines to make us work for our money and they definitely didn't disappoint! many great lessons to be learned over the pat few days!

Reluctantly, the referees call ENDEX and the Marines transition into the live fire portion of the exercise, burning those ranges up through the day and night until 1st MEU has to depart tomorrow.

What a great exercise! 1st MEU is grateful to Mindanaodom for the excellent training and camaraderie! Unfortunately it is time to hit the sea lanes again. The ships of 1st MEU depart Mindanaodom and head to the west.

Delighted to fight and play OpFor.
Heading west?
Mindanao-Dom has received communication that we may need to provide military support
in the area of the Mediterranean/Black Seas.

1st MEU will indeed be changing it's mission to support operations in the Mediterranean. Currently conducting several days of Freedom of Navigation ops near the Spratly Islands, and then they will head to the Med.

Now that the war in Ukraine and the Black Sea has ended, 1st MEU will be returning to original mission. It was great to have the MEU change mission and respond to the crisis though - that's what MEUs are for!

The ships are making port in Tel Aviv today for a short visit and then the MEU will head back toward the Pacific with a modified deployment schedule.

1st MEU pulled into port this morning for a short port of call in Mumbai, India. The Marines and Sailors of 1st MEU will have two days to enjoy Mumbai before heading back to sea on their adjusted deployment schedule.

Pictured below is the destroyer Stiletto leading Patroclus and Menelaus into port.

1st MEU is making another port of call this morning in Kuala Lumpur. The Sailors and Marines will have 2 days to see the sights in this beautiful city before heading back out to sea to prep for another exercise.

Pictured here are LST-24 RODS Patroclus, LHD-28 RODS Perseus, and LSD-31 RODS Menelaus preparing to enter the port.
