Great looking minefields, Mark! I have been working on a lot of vehicles lately but need to get back to doing some terrain projects soon.

I often have a terrain project on the work bench at the same time as other projects. I kind of run the terrain as "back burner" stuff -- that I can turn to when my "front burner" task demands patience more than attention.

I find that if I don't have some lower priority task on the table, I tend to rush the drying times on my primary projects, and stuff gets smudged and has to be re-painted, or bits that have been glued in get knocked off more often.

Hi Mk1

Good advice on having several irons in the fire. Usually for me, I have several things going at once.

Right now I have 6 Panthers with some German North Africa transport and recovery vehicles as my additional project.

When I finish those I am looking at adding more terrain hexes for my Terrain Maker system especially some bridges and paved roads with painting up more buildings as well. I find the terrain aspect is generally a bit more relaxing than painting little tiny roadwheels on tanks and other vehicles.

Nice work CavDog. Makes me want to get my T-90s and T-72B3Ms out and painted.

Cheesecloth camouflage netting.

I was planning to put in more antennas. Came across two turrets that had barrels installed that needed camouflage. Before and end product.

Thought I would post a project I was working on. A while back I bought Some M!A2 SEP TUSK IIs. Took me a while to get around to painting some up, but here is what I have done so far. I

I did an entire company in desert Sand and the two extra in Green.. Leaving the reactive armor still in sand. I am pretty happy with the results. I tired to put little variations in a few of the tanks. Like the center tank has A green Amo box for the Ma Duece and the side skirt for the back drive wheel is green. These are still in work but getting closer to done. I am going to try a wash on these once they are totally finished.

Michael,
Very nice, I have not painted any TUSK II. I like the deviation you set in place with colors.
Thinking similar, the olive drab with tan, perhaps 3-tone NATO camouflage with tan add on armor.

Thanks Chris,

Its actually Model Masters Tri Color green with a touch of white in it. the yellow light I am using is washing it out a little and making it look Olive Drab. I have thought about adding the Nato Camo, black and brown, to it. We shall see. I have not mastered it yet, to a level I like. Might just leave these solid green.
