6 Bear bombers from EE flew into NC airspace. 3 groups of two Bears flew inland about 100 miles before turning around. They came in low, over NC rose to 23,000 feet. Turned on all their radars, electronic jamming equipment. Disruptive to all cell phone, TV, satellite communication for 15 minutes. They turned around turned off every thing as they descended altitude to increase speed and make fuel consumption higher for any jets that might try to intercept them. Two flew over town of Anderson River raking hundreds of pictures of the harbor and runway. Captured engineers out their with construction equipment.
. Rumor has it that the old whaling harbor, commercial bulk transport hub has had work being upgraded, improved. New buildings. Lengthen runway, add a second runway with hangers. A bunch of buildings.
2 Bear flew down the eastern border with Alaska near Erik Nielsen White Horse International Airport. The facilities that had been used for Canadian Air Force has seen improvements. Aircraft bunkers, hangers, fueling, communication, barracks, etc.

Those two flew in 200 miles at low altitude the entire time. They were mirrored across the border with Alaska by 2 F-22 Raptors. The US pilots communicated with their air controllers, which did forward info to NC Air Force.

The Yellowknife international Airport is much better suited for a FOB, as there is a existing RCAF site that we can use.
Though Mick I could reactivate the old RCAF Station in Whitehorse Yukon.
The 'Forward operating base' will not need to store a full Squadron and should not.
Just 2-6 fighters fueled and armed sitting on QRA (quick reaction alert) in the CORRECT location, ready to intercept an intruder before they get to your airspace.
Yukon/Yellowknife is only half way to where you need to be! Unless you are looking at Eski?
PS. Inuvik is a FOB check out Google map/sat.
