Confess Your 1/285 Sins

Post by BurtWolf »

Just have to copy what I thought was a great post idea from another forum, thought it’d be cool to confess your 1/285 sins and genuflect before the pewter god!! Whether it be spending money on lotto tickets when it was meant for fireballs get well basket, painting too fast, or gluing parts on backwards, confess and repent!!!

As for me, oh great benevolent and merciful one, forgive my transgressions as this year I washed some afrika Korps truck with a wash that basically was a dark dark paint ... and I did not remedy this, I gave up on gluing the Karl Morser railings on (as what I did totally sucked) and have put the project back on the shelf for what will be a long time, and lastly I did not base any of my 8 infantry packs I finished painting as I am avoiding the task...

Mercy, please!

Great topic Burt! I confess that when I was basing some infantry I accidentally mounted a prone SAW gunner facing the wrong direction. Not sure if he was facing the rear as the rest of the fireteam advanced, or if he was covering their retreat! I noticed it when I was painting the grunts, but I was in too much of a hurry to rebase it, so I just left it.

Dang, Redleg,I need a ruler to rap your knuckles.
We can’t have that.
.
I have too much micro armor, it’s been that way since about 1992, 2-3 years in the hobby. It could be pathological or psychological. ....both...?!

Back when I used enamels I would bake them in a low oven. The key word being low. For some reason I baked a batch of ten at 300° F instead of 200° F as recommended. They didn't melt but they got really soft and droopy. Basically they were ruined. This happened right before GHQ discontinued the old T72 models and released the current T72M1s so I couldn't replace them. They were the last company of a T72 Battalion and being a purist I couldn't mix the old models with the new ones.

How can you repent if you don't sin once in awhile?

And I promuse, as penance to buy more battalions and not paint them, as has been my recent practice.
