I was not building up any Cyber-Warfare capability Chris. Just upgrading the NC Armys Command and Control abilities via satellite communications. (also thanks for correcting me on the M577 command vehicle I'll have to edit that.)

Nice looking battleship, Mech.

The M557 is also a fuze for 105mm, 155mm, and 8" artillery projectiles. Point detonating with the option for 0.5 second delay.

I’ve since corrected that to the M577 Command Vehicle which will be issued to the NCO corps.

In case if your wondering on how a Seaking helicopter will land and takeoff on the midships Helipad on the KGV? The answer is from an old Canadian invention, the Bear Trap Helicopter securing system, the Sea King upon launch will be moved out of the hangerdeck by the rail system left over from the ww2 era Aircraft Catapult system, to one of the sides on the helipad, to where the rotorblades will fold out and the Seaking is then released from the Beartrap holding it down.

KGV Refit
HMCS Kanata is almost finished her refit, it was decided to install a Mk 10 twin rail launcher on her aft castle deck. The ships rear tripod mast was moved further back to make room for the launcher. Internal space inside the castle will house the missile magazine to store 16 RIM-66 missiles, and 12 ASROC missiles.

(GMs note: I tried to make the arms for the MK 10 launcher but it was becoming a pain in the @$$, so i just use the post as the launcher.)

That is difficult to accomplish. Nice work.
An idea... the KG V have 10 main guns as I recall, 4-2, then 4. Consider putting both 4 Gun turrets up front. Then make VLS and helo pad at stern. Try it visually if turrets not glued, then look at it for a week or two.
Just an idea to consider, not a suggestion.

Well I could probably do that to for the successor to the KGVs, the Lion class BB. However, New Canada does not have the technical knowledge to build or use a MK 41 VLS launcher. So the launchers will have to be ether Single or twin rail launchers, or Box launchers.

And yes it was a very difficult task to add a MK 10 launcher but fortunately I have a pair of Magnifying Goggles that helped me out with that.

The Royal Canadian Navy is happy to announce that HMCS Kanata has finished her refit and will be rejoining the fleet this weekend after her shakedown run. the other KGVs will be joining her sometime later in the month, however BB 110, HMCS R, B, Bennett, (formerly HMCS Grande Prairie), is going to be receiving a completely different refit scheme.

CFB Lahr Germany
Officers from the NC army have flown to the base to began the first computer simulated exercise in the C&C room.
the officers participating in this are from the following regiments
Princess Patrica's Light Infantry.
12e Régiment blindé du Canada.
The Royal Canadian Dragoons.
The Canadian Grenadier Guards.
Royal Canadian Horse Artillery.
The Queens Own Rifles.
Royal Winnipeg Rifles.

The computer simulated exercise will be based on the Suez War from years ago, but using the new maneuver tactics that the NCAF has trained the troops. The goal is to complete that mission based on the ROD mission reports from that conflict, but hopefully produce a more different outcome.

CFB Lahr Germany

With the ROD Mission reports on the Suez War now acquired and programed into the C&C rooms main computer, the simulation can begin.

<Suez War Scenario #1>

The Simulated NCAF forces in the Sinai approaches TAA Black Sabbath which is the city of Nekhel (which the Officers remarked the bands name as being of poor taste in music for their status.)

Instead of charging in like last time, the NC Army Officers typed out their orders to the Simulated Seargents M577s of each regiments, instructing them to began surrounding Nekhel to cut off the EE troops inside from retreating, once done the Artillery regiment began firing smoke rounds into the city to cloud the enemy's view before platoons of infantry along with one LAV III and a couple of MUTT jeeps move into the city to clear the streets and buildings out of the EE forces, in order to capture the city in a timely manner.

Meanwhile at the Highway 50 Bridge objective. instead of sending in the Jets to drop unguided bombs on the EE positions knowing of possible SAM sites and EE jets, the Battleship HMCS Kanata fired a full broadside of 8 Tomahawk guided missiles from her port box launchers at the objective in order to flush the EE positions out and knock out the SAM sites allowing the jets to Mop up the area.

CFB Lahr Germany.
The first simulated test of the new C&C system is a success with the first Suez War scenario done. The NC officers are impressed with this new system, as it gives the officers the risk free environment needed to plan out strategy's more effectively, without the interference of battle. The Second Suez War scenario will be scheduled tomorrow.
