What is the KDF doing out here in international waters conducting such exercises? None of less keep our joint patrols within NC Waters. The Outboards F-100 Super Sabres will do a patrol over the Northwest part of Vancouver Island while the CF-18s from 19th Wing Comox will patrol the Southwest part of the island. If you see any KDF aircraft nearby intercept it and escort it out of NC airspace.

(Outboard Islands rep): "Estos bichos raros Karmanaskis deben estar drogados de hierba de nuevo. Estábamos haciendo prácticas con misiles ficticios, ¿qué extraño?"

The Outboard Islands F-100 Super Sabres plotted an intercept course to the Contact near Prince Rupert.

(F-100 Pilot): "Atención, Karmanaskis Aircraft, estás cerca de las aguas de New Canada, cambia de rumbo de inmediato y te acompañaremos."

Image

The CF-18s also made an intercept course to the source of the contact in the SW part of the island in order to escort it out of NC.

(CF-18 Pilot): "Bloody hell its those F-4s again from earlier this morning, What is going on with Karma today? Are they trying to play tag with us or something?"

Back at CFB Comox, both NC and Outboard Islands officers are rather confused by the actions displayed by the KDF what are they doing out here?

Prince Rupert,
Radar contact just drops from the screen........nothing, zilch.
Even on highest power and narrowest beam, no returns. Nothing is there.

(F-100 Pilot 2): "¿Qué demonios estaba haciendo Karmanaskis al arrastrarnos hasta el Príncipe Rupert y decirle Bienvenidos a Islandia? Aye Aye Aye, ¿estas personas son raras?"

The 3 Grippens observe the F100's but remain outside of NC airspace.
They then start to slow down to 150 kt just for fun. Not sure if the Outboard Islands try to copy this action!

Still on station ELTO 2 heads a bit to the North.

In Comox the air picture is receiving some interference.

NC Air Operations Center Vancouver Island.

"Radar contact just off Prince Rupert Sir.......Again"
"Good solid return West to East climbing mach 1 plus, passing flight level 350...370"
Duty officer looks up at the main display. "What about the West coast?"

"Nothing new sir, if anything they are pulling away from our area. just that ELTO 2 and three other contacts all heading West"

Image

"Good, keep watching the Prince Rupert track."
"yes sir , maybe it is the end of an exercise."
Officer calls higher up the chain of command.

"Sorry to wake you up in Ottawa sir but we have a prob........"
Corporal shouts across the ops room " Prince Rupert track has gone sir....AGAIN".
"i known it is late sir... yes, yes sir . I will" puts phone down, kick table over and goes into a rant at the corporal
