That’s an awesome looking setup, and great AAR! It’s nice to see more historical subjects.

This was a somewhat generic game based on actions to the east of Warsaw in August 1944 where the Soviets had sent masses of tanks through thin lines of the German defenders. The panzer units were then forced to scramble to cut those units off before they totally disrupted the front.
Russians had 2 T34 companies and a company of tank riders Germans started with 2 StuGIVs and rec'd a counter attacking force of 4 Panthers, a Stummel and 5 Pzgrd sections in Sdkfz251s.

No Better Place to Die: December 31, 1862

I ran this for my club NORTHAG a couple of years ago and then took it to a couple of the HMGS Mid South and HMGS South conventions.

Fantastic looking table! What rules are you using? Looks like possibly Fire & Fury Western scenarios?

Always Fire & Fury, this time Brigade. Yes, Stones River is in the more recent Brigade scenario book.

Thought so, that is my go to rule set, always brigade level, although I don’t have the second editions.

We played this 6mm I Aint Been Shot Mum game back in December and it gave me a chance to get my Commandos on the table for the first time. This scenario came from the Forgotten Battles from France to Germany, January to April 1945 scenario book from Anschluss Publ. The gist of the game is that the defending Germans are expecting the British to come from the west and have placed their defenses accordingly. However the Commandos have worked all the way round to the east and are launching their attack from that edge.
Germans are defending with a company from a SS training battalion and have 4 20mm Flak guns in support. The Commandos start with 2 Troops and get additional units later including a troop of tanks.
Made for an interesting all infantry game with a ton of Big Men/Leaders for the Commandos

That's a great looking game Mark! The table is incredible! BTW - I scrolled all the way down through all your pics of previous games - your terrain is superb!
