Re: Extra Crispy's T64 Tank Brigade
So the trucks are painted and based.
Last step: apply any decals. There's no rom for number plates - at least not with the decals I have. So that leaves the omnipresent Soviet stars. Teeny ones on each door or a single air recognition one on the hood?
What would you do?
Maybe doors for rear area units and hoods for more front line?

Geez, decals would drive me mad in that quantity. I would paint 'em on. At least, I would have before my damned tremor.

Re: Extra Crispy's T64 Tank Brigade
I'd probably go with small stars on the doors, I find the hood stars are very WW2 US and feel out of place on anything else
If you want some variation, how about some hand painted aerial observation markings? White strip's across the roof perhaps?

A very ambitious project! You can never have too many trucks.
Like the idea of laying out templates for organizing/storing units, may use that idea myself!

I went for stars on the doors. You can just make it out if you look closely. 1/600 red stars intended for aircraft.

That's awesome Mark! Great looking truck! You must have a really teeny tiny pair of tweezers to put those decals on!

For decals that small, I put a drop of water on my finger and let the decal soak. Then transfer using the tip of a very sharp X-acto knife. Tweezers can easily tear them when they are this small.

For me a fingertip to x-acto transfer means a trip to the ER for stitches! I have a red cross decal sheet for my ambulances that I have been avoiding because they're a bit intimidating at this scale. You have inspired me to give it a shot though

Re: Extra Crispy's T64 Tank Brigade
The only vehicles decaled are Ambulances. Ground and Air. With the number of battalions there are more than a few of them. I put them in a shallow saucer and then slide them off with a small brush. Sit them down on a drop of solvaset. Use the brush to gently position and smooth out. A thin coating of solvaset to reduce the shine and eventually a clear dull coat to complete.
