Ritter,
In no particular order (of your pictures)...
Amazing!
Breathtaking!
Fantastic!
Out of this world!
Magnificent!
Splendid!
Stunning!
Superb!
Wonderful!
I always enjoy your posts -- seeing your works tells me it can be done, and it gives me a goal to shoot for! I am really looking forward to your "tips and techniques" on scenery, and your hinted-at "how to" on scratchbuilding buildings!
BattlerBritain,
First off -- VERY well done on your aircraft -- and your pictures, too! And then...
-- but once you have all that "stuff", it's a non-recurring cost!), and (b) the nearly-instanteous feedback one can gather from those digital pictures!
Again -- thank you very much!
Regards,
Tom Stockton

BattlerBritain,
First off -- VERY well done on your aircraft -- and your pictures, too! And then...
You have touched on what could well be one the greatest uses of the digital camera -- the ability to take a (relatively) unlimited number of pictures of our modeling efforts, and then seeing with our own eyes what the "eye" of the camera sees! I am not sure why this is so... but it does seem to be the truth. Maybe it's the camera's way of taking what we see in three dimensions and reducing it to two -- and thus allowing us to "focus" our eyes differently. All I know is -- it certainly does work! Over the years, I've taken film (35mm) pictures of my "finished" modeling efforts -- model railroads, aircraft, armor, dioramas, what-have-you... And when I've seen those pictures, almost without fail -- my "finished" efforts have turned out to be not finished after all! But until I acquired a digital camera, that process has not had the advantages of (a) low cost (not counting the base cost of the camera, computer, monitor, etc. !!!Taking the pic at max res certainly does pic out more detail than the human eye normally sees.

Again -- thank you very much!
Regards,
Tom Stockton

MOTIVATED!!
Ya, Thats right, Motivated!
The Pics on this sight motivated me to put some serious detail into a piece of Micro armour.
I havent ben able to get german Cammo "just right" to my satisfaction up till now.
I Whipped out a Color Plate of a PZIVH , with Full Schirzen, fromPanzer Lehr division, and spent almost 4 hours Duplicating the The Color plates Cammo onto a GHQ Panzer IVH last night.
And I Finaly got it Just right. I Wish I Had a Digital Camera.
One problem though. The GHQ Red Panel number Decal sheets sort of Suck. When they are applied to the "Ambush" cammo pattern , or any pattern with similar colors, they disapear. I Need Red Number sheets with the White Background / trim. I Dont want to "Paint" the numbers on.
Can anyone recomend a company that makes Good RED with WHITE TRIM Panel numbers for german Micro armour?

Again to everyone - thanks for the comments - hope to see some more pics of YOUR stuff hanging out here (instead of me hogging!)
Humbrols are still my main medium - although I am looking into trying Vallejo line when I can get my hands on them.
Procedure is now:
Humbrol base coat by brush (going to try Tamiya again).
Acrylic camo by airbrush or Humbrol by brush.
Washes by Humbrol/testors.
Detail by Humbrol

Hi everyone
Here are some pictures of my new models.
I painted up quite a large batch of British armour.
Mainly for the Viller-Bocage project that I am working on.
They came out quite well, but I really would like a camera with a better Macro,
If you are looking at cameras for photographing GHQ,
The minimum focal length is what you need to check and this is not always relative to the price of the camera.
Chris.

Hi Pushbike
Excellent stuff once again! I really love your work. Great job on the shading and highlights and the terrain looks great too.

...is continually reminded that he needs to upgrade to better terrain.
Those are just some gorgeous paintjobs. Sooner or later I'll get around to painting my miniatures. Eventually...
