A flight of P-51s
I finally decided to paint the Raiden Mustangs as aircraft of the 352nd Fighter Group with a flight of 4 from each of it's three squadrons (328, 486, 487). So I doctored an image taken from an Airfix instruction sheet.

I'd painted the Olive Drab on these before deciding on the Fighter Group, so I now need to redo the noses with blue.

Command Pz IIIs and Pz IIINs
I didn't notice until I posted the photos on FB earlier but I managed to cut off the turrets from the photo.

Older Pz IIIM Company
I've brought my older Pz IIIM company to a similar standard as my newer one. I still need to give it a coat of matt varnish as I ran out over the weekend.

Tiny Helos
Glazing done on the 6 Mil-17s and 8 Ka-52s. Just another 12 Mil-17s and 40 Mi-24s to go.

'Just' started the last batch of Soviet helicopters for a friend. As the alloy is rather hard and a bit of a pain to drill, I'm alternating between cleaning them up and giving them a base coat of paint - in groups of 8. Just 16 more Mi-24s to go...

That is quite a collection of Mi-24s, Gazza. I would love to see the Mustangs when they are all done.

A quick update.
I've finished cleaning up the helo's. I've also given them all a base coat and began the disruptive green came (just 6 of the Mi-17s so far). The Raiden P-51Ds have had their noses painted blue.

This photo just turned up in my FB feed. I just happen to have a few spare SdKfz 251 Ausf Ds too.

Great looking aircraft Gazza! Nice pic too! I love FaceBook - I don't really keep in touch with too many people on there, but I do get my daily F4 Phantom pics, some great historical information, modeling posts, and the occasional joke!

It is interesting. I have seen this one or a similar one years and years ago….

One thing I noticed after posting the photo is that both the Hanomags have had their front mudguards removed. I wonder if they were found like that or if their new owners removed them - perhaps as an aid to them not being mis-identified as German and thus not being fired upon.

I notice that the armored car also has it's front mudguards removed as well. So, perhaps that is a unit thing?

You could be right. I'm fairly sure that in the past I've seen photos of M8s and/or M20s without their front mudguards.

I got an order from Scotia today. Here's a photo comparing their 3d printed CV 3/35s with an old painted H&R one.

Lots of rivets etc. to catch the dry brushing stage.
