like a phoenix rising from the ashes the CF-21 program has been reborn, under Avro Canada as they managed to acquire the licence from KAI to build the Aircraft from their factory in Toronto. along with the fighter variant, Avro plans on producing a limited number of C3 variant for the Command and Control aspect for 5th Gen fighter operations when working along side other CF-21s and Canadairs CF-32s. Avro managed to save the existing fleet of CF-21s from Bombardier.

5th Generation Pilot training program.

With the No 401 Squadron Selected to fly the CF-21s. The RCAF, has established a 5th Generation Fighter Training Program, in order to train the pilots with the familiarization and handing of these new fighters. the Squadrons base at CFB Cold Lake will be supplied with the newly built Flight Simulators, that are programmed to mimic the performance of the CF-21s in the best of conditions,in order to the test the Pilots. in order to qualify to operate a CF-21, the pilots are required to have a total of 100 hours of simulated flight experience. The Commissioned Officers of the Squadron will be trained to use the CF-21C3 Variants command and control functions, when it becomes available.

Interesting concept from NC.
However Karmanaskis is convinced of the benefits of using a large business jet or small regional airliner as our platform.
We are almost there.

Based on what the NC Tank Crews learned from the ROD's Tankers Ball months ago. New changes where added to the training. All maintenance crews will now be required to perform maintenance with a gas mask on during training. and In lieu of using tear gas for the training, the officer in charge of the training will use a stop watch, to time the repair crews to see how fast they can put on their gas masks.
Also their is a change to the selection process for the Commissioned Officer Corps that will make it mandatory to raise officers from the enlisted ranks based on their combat experince.

Guess those Medical Doctors, the Finance(bean counters), programmers, nurses,S-1, S-2, S-3, & S-4 positions and COs, CGs, logistics experts, etc., will not look to NC military.
This is Shelia from WSE-XY, Action News. Leadership will become an issue for the military if it isn’t already! Oh well, just the way it is. What’s new. Although it might offer a better cadre to choose from.
Recruitment drops by 26.3% in NC

CF-21E Program
The Prototypes first test flight at CFB Toronto revealed that it performed rather sluggishly due to the drag produced by the radar dome on top of the Aircraft. It will be sent back to Avro Canada's main factory in Toronto, to be rebuilt into a new version of the E, to address the problems with it. Avro is about to receive the Internal Weapons bay kit from KAI to upgrade the CF-21s to help reduce its radar cross section.

CF-21E program.
Unfortunately despite the rebuilding process still underway for the CF-21E. Avro Canada has decided to Cancel the project. Citing the impractical nature of a 2 seat AEW platform. And the RCAF making the decision to Aquire used E-3 Sentry Aircraft for AWAC Work. The sole Prototype will be Converted into a Regular CF-21 for 4th Wing.

Delivery of the first 3 used E-3 Sentry's from the UK, has arrived in New Canada. These will be attached to 4th Wing Cold Lake, to provide AEW capability to its fleet of CF-21s and CF-32s.

Meanwhile De Havilland Canada was planning to build their Next Gen AEW prototype. Unlike Avro's failed 2 seat CF-21E prototype. DHC's AEW prototype will have a full crew of 6, with all the stealth features included. However with the RCAF's acquisition of the E-3, that prototype never left the drawing board.

Nice capability for NC. Is that 707 airframe?
