Oh the tiger is in 1/285 scale. It looks to be a GHQ tiger which the guy modded. Oh I forgot he made individual track links as well and mounted them.

Thanks Crisswim, and FMJ. The panthers get started at the end of the week. Still waiting on the UK inf to come in. I've been working on Thomas' USMC air force ,those are some of his in the pictures. (as per his request!)

JB,

Interesting camo scheme on the 53s. Is that just a coincidental pattern in front of the Marines decal or is it "nose art?"
Tactics are the opinion of the senior officer present.

I'd bet that it is JB's interpretation of a "cammie" scheme found on a CH-53E in the early stages of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Those are off of some genuine Marine choppers. They were done as requested by Thomas McCafferty,he sent me pictures of the website. I just did them from memory (its hard to forget that scheme!) ,and Thanks Pete

Okay, I have no idea how big those '53s are, but for the love of God, what do you all use to paint that stuff with? A human hair????? I'm still tripping on the axe handles and whatnot on Ritter's tanks.

I'm about to try my hand at painting (using Troy's instructions)....wish me luck! LOL

What JB didn't mention, is that he is only about 12 inches tall himself!

See, ya gotta be a real small fellow to paint that kind of detail.

Or at least that is my guess. 'Cause after 30 years of painting, I can't paint that kind of detail. H3ll, on a good day maybe I can see that kind of detail. Must just be too big. Yeah, that's it...

Well, OK, I can see it.

And I can paint it. A little. If you don't look too close.
