Book WWII Overview
My usual WWII book will be about a specific part of the war. I have not read a general overview of WWII in decades. Can someone recommend a current general single volume overview of the WWII? Looking for adult and high school age recomnedations.

The Second World War, Antony Beevor, might be a place to start. Can't say I've read it, but his other books didn't disappoint. So I don't imagine this one would.

One of my favorite books is Panzerkrieg, The rise and Fall of Hitler's Tank Divisions" by Pete McCathy and Mike Syron. Really great book.

For an overview, Max Hasting's Inferno: The World at War, 1939-1945 is excellent and I would also second Beevor's book as a good one.

You might want to check out The Second World War by Antony Beevor. It's a great single-volume overview that covers the war from multiple angles.

Crafting a provocative question.
I need to create an unusual and provocative question suitable for the forum, starting with a clear topic line followed by additional details about the question itself. The topics revolve around hobbies or modeling, and I want to ensure it's both intriguing and relevant. I must avoid any illegal or harmful content, and while aiming for controversy, it should not veer into hate speech. I’ll keep the format simple: first, the topic line, then the question details.Exploring provocative questions
