There are quite a few differences to the F8-E Crusader and the A7 Corsair. The tail on the Crusader Stands straiter, The jet exhaust is also longer, and the tail fins are shorter. Also the air intake on the Crusader is more squat than that of the Corsair. The Crusader is also 8 feet longer and has a wingspan 3 feet wider then the Corsair.
They may generally look the same, but that is like saying the F14 Tomcat, and the F15 Strike Eagle look the same so why make the F15 when a Tomcat will do.
Well that me for now, happy painting everyone,

Yes there are differences. As you say 8 feet of length, which translates to a 1 millimeter difference in model length between an A7 and a F8 and less than one half of one millimeter in wing span. The differences in tail assemblies and air intakes is so insignificant, in scale, that I don't think you can even SEE it in 1/2400.
But then again my eyesight isn't what is was, or ever was
As I said before given the medium, rubber molds and cast metal models, these differences are certainly well within the margin of error.
However, should GHQ be willing to make two different models, it's certainly OK with me.
Thank you Darryl for the link you sent. And thank you SeaHarrier2006 for the link to the model. It very much made it clearer.
